Thursday 25th June for episode 15 of Critical Role.

25/06/2015 Critical Role: Episode 15 Skyward

Liam O'Brien was in New Jersey so he participated using skype/facetime.

Party sorting their new armour, Scanlan and Tiberius bicker.

Vex enters an armorsmith to commission new armour for Trinket, using the extracted armour from a Bulette.

Naked Trinket without his armour.

Scanlan sings:

"Whoa, I hear your tinkering, whoa, please do it well" inspired from Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer
"Bigby's hand Bigby's hand, you know it, shamone!" inspired from Michael Jackson - Bad
"Elvish people in the ship tonight, everybody just have a good fight" inspired from LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem
"And you miss me, like the deserts miss the rain" inspired from Everything but the Girl - Missing

Pike manages to fully heal Vax's foot.

Percy makes Vex some special arrows, he gets kissed.

Travis roled poorly, Matt replies "enchanted murkin"

Scanlan responds after Vex accuses him for getting a potion to spy on Pike; "I am offended and terrified of the assumption to sink so low, as to spy on my good friend and future wife Pike when her pantaloons are down."

Trinket's new armour is complete. Trinket looks like a Roly Poly (Armadillidiidae).

Tiberius receives encouragement from Vax to talk to Allura.

Vox Machina board the airship Deara, with Captain Damon.

Tiberius takes his staff and cast image capture, to take a selfie.

It is revealed that Matt hates selfie sticks. He doesn't mind selfie staffs.

Trinket boards the airship by being craned. He air paddles.

Pike and Grog at the bow of the airship. With Pike holding Grog by the waist, he says: "I the Goliath of the world!"

Battle on the airship against Wyverns and Griffins.

A poor Wyvern gets turned into a rabbit. Falling rabbit.

Keyleth thrown off the skyship. As she is falling she says : "This is peaceful, this is nice". She ends up turning into a wind elemental and returns to the ship.

Almost kill a halfling named Tira.

Critmas part 2

Matthew Mercer receives a birthday cake.

Laura receiving two Trinket plush toys (big and little). Her reaction was priceless.

Thursday 2nd July 2015. Critical Role: Episode 16 Enter Vasselheim

Liam O'Brien was still on vacation, so he played whilst on a laptop. Rather sad episode, especially the ending.

Highlights and major spoiler:

Grog grows a beard, includes decorations.

Tiberius teaches math to Scanlan.

Sarenrae, the she-bro you never had.

Tiberius and Scanlan for some reason make references to Phoenix Wright (which they were both in).

Keyleth gets arrested...again. However Lady Kima saves Keyleth: "She's with me!"

Scanlan the Holy-Gnome.

Vax is crushed to the ceiling.

Scanlan sings: "oh oh oh, Shut up and shoot that hole, your arrow is my destiny" inspired from Walk the moon - Shut up and dance

Secondary Tiberius in female form.

Golems arrive and attack the spiders.

Grog's newly grown has been singed. Grog has returned to being smooth.

Destiny calls for Pike.

Real life hits as Ashley has to depart from Vox Machina as she's going to New York to film a live action series.

It was hard to watch as Ashley, Laura and Marisha were tearing up.

No Critical Role for the next two weeks as this week is Comic Con and the week after, Matt and Marisha are off to New Zealand.

After the maths lesson from Tiberius, I wish for a puppet version of Tiberius to appear on Seasame Street to teach young Gnomes mathematics. A segment called "Poppycock Maths!"

Last week at San Diego Comic Con 2015 on Thursday 9th July, Geek & Sundry hosted a Critical Role Q&A at the Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres baseball team.

Sam Riegel wasn't at the Q&A.

There are some good Critical Role related sites floating around the inter-webs.

http://criticalrolesource.tumblr.com (mainly gifs showing comedy)

http://critters.boards.net/ (a forum for Critical Role)

http://criticalrole.wikia.com/wiki/Critical_Role_Wikia (a wiki page for Critical Role)

Any others that I missed, feel free to add some.

Critical Role Episode 17 - Hubris

For some reason Scanlan takes a dump inside a temple.

Grog learns that the crucible has a fighting pit called the Bellows Restpit; looks overjoyed.

Scanlan sings: "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday" by Boyz II Men
: "And the ranger's gonna range range range, trackers gonna track track track" inspired by Taylor Swift - Shake it off
: "Come on Grog, yeah you know what I mean, it's time to rage on this Hydra" inspired by Dexy's Midnight runners - Come on Eileen

Grog is smitten by a female fighter named Dasiren (unsure of spelling).

Bets placed on Grog winning a fight.

Grog enters into a pit fight and his in-pit name is Philip.

Fight between Philip the Newcomer and Kurn the Hammer.

Grog throws a Superman punch (similar to WWE's Roman Reigns).

Grog summons the power of Macho Man Randy Savage.

Vex asks if there is a whore house.

Grog eats into a drift wood.

Grog sloppily disappoints a woman.

Travis mentions Attack on Titan.

Fight a Hydra.

Another group intervene the battle with the Hydra.

Thursday 30th July, this marks a new chapter of the campaign of Vox Machina as the group is split. With the group split, some guest players are taking part. For this part of the story, it is a team of Scanlan, Percy, Vex, Grog and two other hopefuls.

Critical Role Episode 18 - Trial of the Take Part 1

After his defeat Philip is training to an 80's training montage.

Zahra Hydriss The Tiefling Warlock (Mary Elizabeth McGlynn)

Lyra The Human Wizard (Felicia Day)

Aldor, the soon to be boyfriend of Lyra.

Roshambo was used to see who holds the bag.

Contract to slay a White Dragon.

What is a Warg?

Met an NPC named Dagon (named after Marisha's pet Green Cheek Conure)

Backstory with Vex and Zahra.

Scanlan sings: "Boom clap, sound of your gun, the beat goes on and on" inspired from Boom Clap by Charli XCX
: "No I don't want to get hurt, by you" inspired from Wicked Game by Chris Isaak
: "I raise my hand to Lyra and sing, that you could use some Scanlan today, tonight I give a d-10" inspired from Hands To Heaven by Breathe

Scrooge McDuck bag.

Percy in his pyjamas, with a open buttflap.

Trinket kills creatures, Laura rolled good.

Zahra fights and is pretty strong.

Lyra fights and does well.

Lyra declares Sleepy time.

Lyra discusses with Scanlan about herself and Aldore.

Encounter with two frost giants.

Both Mary and Felicia played very well, especially Mary as it was a first time playing D&D. The way she acted her character Zahra was a delight to watch as she was learning how to play. Lyra is best described as adorkable.

Thursday 6th August marked the 19th edition of Critical Role. Second part of the Trial of the take storyline as members of Vox Machina attempt to complete a contract for the Slayers take. Travis Willingham was running late so he doesn't not appear until the second half.

Critical Role Episode 19 Trial of the Take part 2

Geek and Sundry managed to get permission from Obsidian Entertainment to use the soundtrack from Pillars of Eternity.

Laura does her impersonation of Grog (in truth it sounds like a deeper Shin-Chan)

"My cat is your friend" quote from Lyra the human wizard.

Scanlan was suggested to swing on a frost giant male genital.

Lyra vomits and turns to the snow green and brown.

Scanlan levels up.

Backstory of the white dragon named Rimefang.

Scanlan sings: "Ooh you so scary, ooh ooh you so scary, you fightie long time", inspired from Me so horny by 2 Live Crew (I think)
: "When a moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's Aldore", inspired from That's Amore by Dean Martin

Grog rolls like Geordi Laforge from Star Trek.

Trinket the sexy.

Lyra wants to see Aldor's male genital.

The return of Burt Reynolds (cue mass laughter)

Frost giants are named Ace and Gary.

"You leave when Burt Reynolds tells you to leave", quote from Scanlan the gnome bard.

Hellish rebuke.

Lyra kisses Scanlan after he uses seeming to disguise himself as Aldor.

Lyra wishes to spread her wings.

Lyra placed Scanlan into the friendzone.

Quite an amazing episode. Hats off to the guest players in Felicia Day and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. Scanlan summoning the power of Burt Reynolds has such a powerful affect that the entire room was laughing, myself included. The hype of Scanlan's Burt Reynolds is no joke. Although we say farewell for now to the guests, lets hope both Wil Wheaton and Will Friedle can put a show fitting for this storyline of Critical Role.

Thursday 13th August, episode 20 and the second half of Vox Machina, where it is Vax, Tiberius, Keyelth and two other guest players. Unfortunately Wil Wheaton was rather ill. This was Will Friedle's first time playing D&D.

Critical Role: Episode 20 - Trial of the Take : Part 3

Grog is refered to buy Vax as a meat shield.

Liam does an impersonation of Grog.

Met a fortune teller.

Wil Wheaton as Thorbir the Dwavern fighter

Will Friedle as Kashaw the Human cleric

Target is a Rakshasa.

"More than twice and you are playing with it", quote from Kashaw.

Team do investigation checks around town, detective style.

Velvet cabaret.

Vax and Keyleth go shopping.

As an alias, Vax goes by the name of Lord Scanlan of the Shorthalt's.

What does Vax's twin sister look like? asked Kashaw.

The Velvet Cabaret is described as a goth club cruise ship.

Team infiltrate the Velvet Cabaret in disguise.

Wheaton's dice rolls bring balance to the world.

The curse of Wil Wheaton dice role.

Boulder rolls down, Indiana Jones style.

More of a grumpy episode hence the hashtag. Matt played an NPC named Vince Seonore (spelling?) which was reminiscent of the character Merovingian from The Matrix Reloaded film. I thought Will Friedle did ok, perhaps it was more for him to get used to playing D&D. The curse of Wheaton's dice role is too powerful. Since this was a more of an investigation episode, some jazz music would have fit the story.
