Really? Frigging really?! Spider-Man just stops to swipe his card in a turnstile, in middle of a fight, instead of just jumping over it? I don't think that even USM ever made him this stupid (although it got very close).

Oh, and did you see people? Spider-Man was wearing his makeshift costume from the movies! WE ARE JUST LIKE MOVIES!! WHY DON'T YOU LOVE US!!!

Also, and this is admittedly just me making an educated guess based on out-of-context clip, but it seems like that Scorpion is going to be a throwaway opening scene bad guy, who shows ups just to cause some havoc at the begining of the episode. So, they probably won't have his tragic backstory involving Jameson. You know, the only think that has ever given Scorpion any depth as a character. This might seem like insignificant thing to get mad about (I mean, in the grand scheme of Spider-Man villains, Scorpion isn't all that important), but it kinda tells me that they are once again not interested in having compelling stories and just want something that prompts the kids to buy merchandise.

*Sigh* Maybe Deadpool will be finally a good current Marvel cartoon.

Marvel Animation is producing a new Spider-Man cartoon to debut late this Summer on Disney XD in time for Spider-Man: Homecoming.



TV Guide has just released an exclsuive sneak peek for it, featuring Spidey in a prototype suit taking on The Scorpion.

I'm 99% sure that's Jason Spisak as Scorpion, but no one can seem to peg who's voicing Spider-Man.

It sounds like someone in-between Yuri Lownethal and Bryce Papenbrook.

Scorpion sounds like it's either Jason Spisak or Keith Silverstein. I made the mistake before of confusing Spisak's Paralon for Silverstein when i first heard him in RID.

and considering Paralon is a scorpion Transformer....it'd be somewhat full circle here.

and yeah Spidey does sound like Robbie Daymond here, who I'm pretty sure was him in Marvel Disk Wars dub.

the animation is trash, I mean Ultimate Spider-Man had nicer looking designs at least. It saddens me how much Marvel Animation is devolving.

Wow, that is the worst first impression I've seen.

The writing just feels way too forced, a total drag since Robbie sounds like a great choice for Spidey.

And the animation and artstyle, oh lord no. At least Ultimate looked better.

Okay, I could see it being Silverstein. It definitely could be him doing a gruffer voice, although I'm still leaning towards it being Spisak.

This was what I was really worried about when I realized the new cartoon would be in-house, given none of Marvel's recent in-house animations really look all that good.

A few things
----------------
1. Can Marvel please make one show unique from he MCU? Their whole "we want our tv shows and shitty mobile games to connect to the mcu" is getting stale. Has been stale since 2015
2. I like Robbie Daymond as Spider-Man. I didn't really predict that choice but he does make a good younger Spidey.
3. Very very very bland backgrounds. Hopefully they look a lot better in the final product
4. Excited to see/hear who voices Octavious, Vulture, and Venom
5. AGHHHH ENOUGH WITH THE SUPER KID FRIENDLY ANIMATION STYLE

I don't think it looks that bad.
