Default Tikal in Sonic X

UPDATE (11/22): Renamed "Tikal in Sonic X and some Pokemon people." Thanks, poke

I've paid a visit to the Rebecca Honig page on Bulbapedia to see the extent of the characters she played. Fortunately, all these episodes were available, credits and all, to verify.

Emily (Hoenn) - Has a lisp, but otherwise unlike the others
Claire (Hoenn) - Sounds just like Tikal, but also sounds like Maria. A more subdued lisp.
Emily (Kanto Battle Frontier) - Sounds like the midpoint between Cream and Vanilla, and yes, there's a lisp.

All of these have Honig in the credits with no trace of Neill (whereas Neill is indeed credited for Elisa).

As for Karen Neill, all of these characters are credited to her whereas Honig is not part of the episode.

Miranda (Hoenn) - Take the usual Neill performance and put an exaggerated royal accent to it. The inflections are still the same, though. No lisp.
Dr. Abby (Hoenn) - A younger variation of her usual sound. No lisp.
Mrs. Grimm (Hoenn) - Miranda without the accent, aka a huskier variation of the usual sound. No lisp.
Evelyn (Hoenn) - Same as Dr. Abby.
Elisa (Hoenn) - The most like her other roles. No lisp.

It should also be noted that the 3 episodes that Dr. Abby [1] and Mrs. Grimm [2+3] are in are right next to each other and have different cast lists (8 "Additional Voices" for "Delcatty Got Your Tongue?", 10 for "Disaster of Disguise!", and 12 for "Disguise Da Limit"). This proves that the credits are episode-specific.

Therefore, characters that are younger sounding and have a lisp are traits pertaining to Honig, and older sounding without a lisp are Neill.

Ergo, Tikal (young, lisp) is Rebecca Honig, not Neill.

11/22

Now that this will touch on Pokemon I would like to point your attention to this site: Dogasu's Backpack. Where it succeeds at getting interviews with Veronica Taylor and Leah Applebaum it fails in that it acts as the breeding ground of all the false and otherwise poorly researched VA info that has existed since around 2000. Quite a bit of it still remains on Bulbapedia and yet more of it remains on this site yet. Below are the collective efforts of myself and others to detoxify this cast once and for all.

The credits for Pokemon the Movie 2000 DO NOT credit Roxanne Beck. Instead it credits Michelle Goguen, whose official website confirms that she was Carol, not Beck.

Speaking of Carol, I've seen Carol Jacobanis credited for Trinity, who sounds like Ellen, who in turn sounds like a low-key Lola. Arielle and Pietra also sound similar to Maho Isawa, another Jacobanis role. At any rate, I'm confidient that neither Arielle or Pietra are Lillis despite those characters resembling Lillis' "sullen tone." They are all older sounding characters, which is exactly what Jacobanis' voice sounds like. What's more Jacobanis has since confirmed both Arielle and Trinity via email with Bulbapedia staff.

*On a related note, Bailey, a role commonly believed to be played by Jacobanis, is not actually Jacobanis. This is instead the work of Emily Niebo (known nowadays as Emily Rees), as confirmed by her resume on her official website.*

Continuing with sound alikes, Mary (Hoenn) speaks in almost the exact same way as Tails, and Palant is credited for the episode (back to episode-specific credits here) whereas Tara Jayne IS NOT.

Palant, however, is not the voice of Mitchell (Sinnoh), as you claim her to be. The episode-specific credits for "Try for the Family Stone!" do not include "Amy Palant," (unlike "Mastering Current Events!" [Verona], where Palant is indeed credited) but do include "Helena Christiansen", aka Eva Christiensen, aka Eva Kaminsky. Kaminsky has since confirmed Mitchell (among others) via email with Bulbapedia staff.

Continuing with episode-specific credits are those for the Chronicles episode "Journey to the Starting Line," which do NOT credit Jason Griffith or any of his aliases. The role of Gilbert is actually played by Greg Abbey (credited as Frank Frankson)

Another Chronicles episode ("Oaknapped!") features Officer Jenny, and the episode credits Lee Quick, and NOT Jamie Davyous Owens. Quick also played Jenny in her appearance in "The Legend of Thunder."

Funnily enough, one role NOT played by Dunstan is the one named after him: Dee Dunstan. He was actually played by David Lapkin, credited regularly in the episode-specific credits and using the exact same voice he gave John Tanaka in F-Zero: GP Legend.

Dunstan is also not the voice of May's Combusken during the 4Kids era at any point in any episode or movie despite. It's played by Andrew Paull (already correctly credited to the TV series), supported by his being added on as a regular/supportive cast member for Season 8 alongside Sinterniklaas (Seviper) and Warner (Cacnea, etc.)

Another Pokemon you have wrong is Victreebel (James'). Regarding its Japanese voices (both heard in English after Stuart's one-episode attempt) it was originally voiced by Yuji Ueda but later mainly by its main voice Rikako Aikawa.

Yet another Pokemon is Phanpy (Ash's). Knotz never played it, not once. In Pokemon USA it first used archive clips of Tara Sands and then had Kayzie Rogers voice it only once in the episode it evolved. That said, one person you do not have credited to Phanpy is Lindsey Warner, who voiced Phanpy in the appearances it had where it didn't reuse Tara's clips.

One more Pokemon is Vanillite, played universally by Emily Jenness, NOT Emily Williams.

Next is Tommy (Hoenn Pokemon Trainer's School). He has the same voice as Luffy (it's most obvious during the Pokemon battle), therefore Hudson voices him, not Goldish. Goldish instead voices Annie Proctor.

Then there's Mollie, voiced by Sarah Sweeney and NOT Hilary Thomas, as per the episode-specific credits.

Thomas is also incorrectly matched with Paige. The actual actress, again accessible through the episode-specific credits, is Jennifer Visalli.

Next is Stella, using the same voice as Cassidy and is therefore Hollingshead, not Jayne.

Next is Aya, who sounds different in both of her apperances. In the first ("The Ninja-Poke Showdown"), her voice is deeper and sharper. In the second ("Ariados, Amigos") her voice is lighter and more pleasant, akin to Prima/Lorelei. Since the flashback in "AA" was completely redubbed it's possible the VA changed, but who knows? Maybe she didn't. Whoever it is, it definitely isn't Lisa Ortiz. It also isn't Mandy Bonhomme, Megan Hollingshead, Jessica Calvello or Joan Baker, unfortunately (I asked them all myself; they all deconfirmed it). The only unaccounted for female actress left in the series is "Jayne Grand." Well, better than nothing.

Two more roles that certainly aren't Hollingshead's are Sonrisa and the Computer from Pokemon the Movie 2000. Now THESE are Emily Niebo's, as confirmed by her official website.

One role I do not believe to be Hollingshead's, however, is Janet. It sounds way too off to be her. My best guess is Leah Applebaum, whose wrongful association to Natalie prevented her from being associated with this character. The occasional flatness in her lines is her biggest indicator, as well as the contest receptionist that also appears in that episode.

Two roles that are definitely not Eric Stuart are Earl Dervish, Milton and Pierre, instead played by Maddie Blaustein (first two) and Jerry Lobozzo (last one), easily recognizable in their roles in other 4Kids dubs such as Chef Kawasaki, Solomon Moto and Chuck Thorndyke, respectively.

Continuing my venture into uneasy territory is Old Man Swamp, who I believe is done by Oliver Wyman (who debuted during the Johto League episodes). It doesn't really sound like Schemmel at all.

Schemmel was also not Goneff, as this season was done before he moved to New York, making this casting an absolute impossibility. At the very least, Eric Stuart is a far better conclusion to draw than Schemmel ever would.

Schemmel, additionally, was not Adam nor Provo: two characters from episodes with specific credits. They are, instead, David Wills and Tim Werenko (or, if not him, then Sean Reyes). Schemmel was not credited at all in either episode, and is certainly not the same person as Reyes.

Additionally, from the same episode as Provo we have Taylor. Billy Regan/Bill Timoney is not credited. Sean Reyes, however, very much is.

Another Sean Reyes incorrectly given to someone else is Professor Rowan. This association with James Carter Cathcart is notably outdated and is evidenced by the actual episode credits.

Next up there's Maizie (note: Mayzie is the correct spelling) who you currently have as Tara Jayne, but as this video shows it is clearly a Kerry Williams role. By the same token, Mary (Johto) and Temacu are also Williams roles, not Birnabum.

One role that is NOT done by Kerry Williams, however, is Brittany, whose voice is essentially a softer, feminine version of Amy Palant's Tails.

Moving to Hoenn we have Natalie. She's done by Ashley Fox Linton, as Applebaum has never demonstrated the ability to sound that young.

Then there's both Nancy and Keith from the episode "The Evolutionary War," who sound nothing like Veronica Taylor or Amy Birnbaum, respectively. Instead they're voiced by Caroline Lawson (a known alias for Carrie Keranen via Mokuba Kaiba [on her voiceover demo]) and Bella Hudson, both credited specifically for this episode. Hudson uses her Luffy voice for Keith, and I think Taylor was attributed to the role based on her being attributed to Ukki Pink from Ape Escape 2, which, based on the fact that the closest Pokemon role that sounds like it (Marissa from the Orange Islands) was done by Tara Jayne, leads me to question its validity. Anyway, Carrie confirmed it was her via Twitter correspondence.

Next there's Madeleine, who has Ortiz' inflection pattern despite a low tone.

Then there's Rochelle. Clearly has Tara Jayne's vocal pattern, not Ortiz's.

Another role wrongly associated with Ortiz is Rhyanna, who is in actuality played by Khristine Hvam. Ortiz isn't even credited for this episode (with episode-specific credits).

One last role incorrectly assigned to Ortiz is Sabrina (regarding the anime). While it is undeniably her in Puzzle League as well as her own mother in the anime, to say that Ortiz played Sabrina as she did in Season 1 is simply ludicrous. just as with the case of Aya above.

Sylvester is next, and it's the exact same voice Rogers gives to Max. It ain't Birnbaum.

Continuing with Rogers we have Angie's mother. While Emily Williams is an admirable guess given the presence of Officer Jenny in the episode, it should be noted that Williams was the first impulse reaction. Anyone familiar with his work will tell you that this is actually Rogers.

To push this even further, Angie's father was linked to Julian Rebolledo at the same time as Williams was to Angie's mother. Rebolledo isn't credited either for the episode, but unlike Williams none of his other characters appear. Marc Thompson, however, is credited for the episode and does play Angie's father.

Thompson is also the voice of Dawn's Mamoswine, and NOT Bill Rogers, as confirmed by Tom Wayland himself.

One role that is not Thompson, however, is Kyle Hamm from the final 4Kids-dubbed episode "Pasta La Vista", instead played by lesser-known VA Andrew Paull using a voice most closely resembling his Johnny Steps from Yu-Gi-Oh!. Thompson, meanwhile, is NOT credited for that episode.

Another Pokemon wrongly attached to a VA is Ash's Snorlax (or Snorlax in general). His 2nd VA was not Eric Stuart but was, in fact, Ted Lewis. This is because Lewis was credited (as Ed Paul) in the Season 7 episode "The Garden of Eatin,'" where none of his other recurring roles appeared.

Next up: Natasha, a Season 7 character from an episode where Rebecca Honig is credited. Sure enough, it resembles her Vanilla the Rabbit. It can also be considered a younger version of the Emily she played later in the season.

Two episodes after that ("Let Bagons Be Bagons") has Michelle. Once again, the episode-specific credits come through, with Liza Jacqueline as her voice and not Birnbaum.

Then there's Lokoko, Alice Telesu, Rita (Hoenn), Egan, Wilhomena (note: correct spelling) and Katrina, all six done by Tara Jayne, using nearly the exact same voice as her Ritchie for the former half and a more feminine one for the latter half. None of them particularly resembles Birnbaum, though the last two comes pretty close.

One more to add to the 'not Birnbaum but Jayne' pile is Eliza, who was credited in the episode-specific credits of "I Feel Skitty." Jayne, unlike Birnbaum, is not a regular cast member, and this was one of the last episodes to credit her.

Next is Kimmy Shoney, a Season 8 character from an episode where Lisa Ortiz is credited. He resembles her Tony Tony Chopper, just more energetic. Again, not at all Birnbaum.

One role that actually is Birnbaum however, is Sumomo. Kayzie Rogers may be similar to hear in boy voices, but for young women, not so much.

Likewise, one role that actually is Rogers is Chuck's wife. It may sound like a humble Tara Sands at time, but the pitch and mannerisms of her performance say otherwise.

Episode-specific credits come through again in "Crazy as a Lunatone", where "Caroline Hellman" is credited. This is another alias for Carrie Keranen, so Mary (PMC) (as well as both Victoria Winstrate and Millie) is voiced by Keranen, not Whaley. Whaley being Mary must have been solely on the basis that it was a 'Hollingshead role reprised in a 4Kids dub episode following her departure', and no effort was made to look at the credits. Worse yet is the fact that the "Caroline Lawson" alias had been utilized by the Pokemon community (especially Bulbapedia), again, without referencing the cast credits, making it seem like "Lawson" and "Hellman" were two different people.

Later on is Dominick, voiced by Joshua Briggs, as "Pete Zarustica" is simply not credited for the episode.

Later than that is Victor, voiced by Tracy Friedman (Eric Schussler was the announcer in that episode).

Later still is Clayton, voiced by Marc Diraison, NOT Christopher Kromer.

Returning to Johto is a character whose voice simply cannot be unheard: Alex Davis. As it turns out, there was a competition to voice the character from that episode, and a real life Alex Davis won. This was verified by Bulbapedia mods (the best at what they do) from a post by Alex himself. So yeah, this is nothing at all like Kayzie Rogers.

Another role wrongfully assigned to Blaustein is Watt, who is played in both of his appearances by Jonathan Todd Ross (Ross is credited for the Season 7 episode where Watt makes his 2nd appearance)

Speaking of pre-Season 7 males who have been quite obviously miscredited we have Zane. Definitely the vocal styles of Wayne Grayson, not Scottie Ray (he plays another Zane).

Another roles wrongfully assigned to Scottie was Mateo, played by uncredited actor Buddy Woodward as per his official website.

Closing in on the finale, a quick detour to Pokemon Puzzle League, where Matthew Mitler is credied for Gary Oak and Butch and Ted Lewis for Blaine. All of these are the remnants of bad info (some of which came from Dogasu's Backpack, but nevertheless, the voices are the same as the anime.

Additionally, Nurse Joy in both Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon is Michele Knotz, just as in the 5 seasons of the anime that would follow. Stillwell was the 2nd Officer Jenny in that special (Rogers was the 1st).

Now for a movie. In "Arceus and the Jewel of Life" Carrie Keranen is credited in the film as "Evelyn Lantto" and played Sheena [akin to her Millie]. She was also the voice of Kiko [akin to her Nancy]. Unfortunately the powers that be saw fit to give these two roles to two actresses that wasn't even credited: Rebecca Soler and Bella Hudson, respectively. The former role was verified jointly by herself and Tom Wayland at the Pokemon Q&A panel at the latest Animate Miami and can be viewed here (1:16). Keranen also regularly lists Sheena in her con profiles. The latter role, meanwhile, was confirmed via Twitter correspondence.

Now a case of overridance: Joanna Burns overshadowed Jeanne Burns despite being credited as such for the episode, as seen here.

The penultimate is Agatha, for as it turns out, Allyson Johnson is NOT the same person as Kathleen Delaney.

Capping this set is Tyra, who I believe is the elusive role that Bonhomme did for the first season and the reason it hadn't been discovered until now is because Tara was designated to that role like the other mistakes involving her here. Coincidentally, the only Bonhomme role that sounds like Tyra is Sue (Season 5 role), but only when she says "That's right; Hi, Brock." When compared to Tyra's "Big Jess" it's the closest the voices get. At any rate Tyra clearly has an older-sounding voice to her and it sounds nothing like Jayne. I also believe that Bonhomme voiced some background members of the gang, since Matthew Mitler (Chopper) clearly voiced the male members. I realize that Bonhomme being in the season 1 credits and not Applebaum means she had to be in one of the first 24 episodes, but fortunately I have the remedy: the woman in the Vermilion Gym in "Electric Shock Showdown" (and possibly the losing trainers earlier on).

I looked up the VA info on Bulbapedia, and after rewatching some of the older episodes and checking the credits, I'm pretty sure that they have everything ~90% accurate and up-to-date. And yes, Dr. Abby (Hoenn) is indeed Karen Neill and not Rachael Lillis.
