Default Mario

I'm very sure everyone has noticed that the LA-based Studiopolis cast is dominating the ENTIRE American English voice-acting industry. At first they exclusively handled anime dubbing, but now they're taking over all the voice-over work done for various video games by storm. First it's the Konami lot, then Capcom upon the release of RE5 and SFIV, and most recently and notably, SEGA has actually turned to them for the production of Sonic the Hedgehog!

So, doesn't anyone think that Nintendo may eventually give in to the licensing of Studiopolis as well? Its competition sure as heck did quite suddenly and surprisingly.

Charles would just keep Toadsworth along with the other SMB characters he's been voicing (and still does). More importantly, I did forget to mention that Kazumi Totaka's clips for Yoshi would just be saved/reused from the original Japanese releases. I'm personally not familiar with any of TC Carson's or Gerald C. Rivers's VA work so I don't know how they would voice Ganon(dorf). And what's more, there wouldn't be any sort of voice distinction between any of his incarnations, be it as realistic and demonic from the two games you mentioned (OoT and TP) or more cartoonish-looking (as in Wind Waker).

Still, all your other choices are really great and well thought-out! Thanks for contributing your ideas.

If you didn't know Gerald C. Rivers or TC Carson, why didn't you look up their work? They ARE on this site's database.

But, if you must know, here are the templates I used.

Gerald C. Rivers: M. Bison (Street Fighter 4), Exdeath (Dissidia: Duodecim)

TC Carson: Kratos (God of War III), Mace Windu (Star Wars: Clone Wars)

idk, I never really heard of either of them before, so of course I was quite intrigued when you listed them. Btw thanks for including Dee Baker on yours; I somehow forgot all about him! Though at the same time you left out Laura Bailey, who of course HAS to be included; she'd definitely be able to take on all the female roles!

I actually can name a few roles for Laura Bailey: in particular, Midna and Veran from the Zelda franchises.

Both are very good choices indeed, though I think that Midna's voice would just be limited whatever was already produced by the original Japanese audio much like Yoshi's case.

So, you'd prefer it if Midna was speaking another language and had to read subtitles like in "Star Wars". Huh, sounds like a winner.

And can I point out that I've seen talking Yoshis in the Paper Mario games?

I will try a little something out here for this, as much as I enjoyed the Super Mario Bros shows from DiC here is a little what if the Super Mario Bros. animation back in the later 80's/early 90's had a VA cast with NA animation VA talent that was known at the time (and still do today).

Mario- Chuck McCann
Luigi- Maurice LaMarche
Princess Toadstool- Kath Soucie
Toad- Patrick Fraley or Mona Marshall
Bowser- Gregg Berger
Mouser- Rob Paulsen
Tryclyde- Frank Welker
Wart- Frank Welker
Tatanga- Charlie Adler or Michael Bell
Princess Daisy- Tress MacNeille
Wario- Jim Cummings
Larry Koopa- Kath Soucie
Morton Koopa Jr.- Charlie Adler
Wendy O. Koopa- Cheryl Chase
Roy Koopa- Frank Welker
Iggy Koopa- Tress MacNeille
Lemmy Koopa- Nancy Cartwright
Ludwig Von Koopa- Rob Paulsen
Yoshi- Frank Welker

Just thought I at least try this out...
