sometimes the encoding of the mp3 is misinterpreted by the web page. it's a very rare case for people when they submit their audition. what did you record it in?

Let me refer to the team. I believe they have suggestions on how to convert the mp3 to the format which won't be rejected by the web page.

Thanks for your patience.

Hi, I recorded it in Audacity. Ive tried uploading 128k mp3, 320k mp3, and 16, 24 and 32 bit sample. None have worked.

Strange, there should be no problem with Audacity. Let's see what the other team members say.

Worst case, you can email us your audition and we'll manually submit it for you.

Oh, and what browser are you using. If you have different browsers, try submitting with one of those.

Now I've used Firefox and IE8, I've never had that issue. That being said, if I've used Audacity it requires an mp3 LAME codec to work. BUT I tried submitting a test file here with Audacity and it failed saying non-mp3. But in Soundbooth I think it might work better. I however have no idea why it would fail to upload and say it wasn't mp3.

Might check the bitrate. Not the 32-192kbps but the actual save bitrate and put it to the maximum amount in settings to 48000 or whatever the equivilent was. Try and let us know how that works.

Hmmm. My submission went through fine. It was created in Audacity, saved as an MP3 using the latest Lame Endoder and was uploaded with Firefox. If that helps any? Also project was done at 44100Hz 32 bit.

I don't think that's it because I know some people use firefox and have no problems with this
