Default "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" (2014)

The first official trailer is out (I think most of it is similar to the Comic Con footage)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfuQmvZVieU

While X2 is my favorite of the bunch, I don't think it or any of the other movies have hit the potential they could've. X1 was a successful experiment. X2 was a huge improvement. The rest haven't drawn me in. X:FC did stand out and it was really Magneto's movie. Fassbender rocked the role.

The evergreen theme of prejudice in X-Men is so strong and I think execution of that theme in the movies stories and the characters is key to a highly successful movie. There have been what, 6 movies thus far and none have been critically or financially more successful than other superhero movies that have had a fewer number of sequels.

That being said, my all time favorite scene in any superhero movie (and possibly action movie) is Nightcrawler's attack in the White House in X2.

I'm a fan of the Days of Future Past storyline and the movie has an outstanding cast. Glad Singer is back directing (though I wish Cyclops was in it - maybe he is and they've kept it under wraps). I really hope they've made something special here.

I find it pretty odd when I find out that Quicksilver is gonna appear in both X-Men and the Avengers sequel.

So how much of the original cast is returning?

All of it I think.

Man, I hope this is good. Every single X Men film so far felt underwhelming to me. But in each one, I saw vast potential. Hopefully that potential will be realized.

Dang, McAvoy!Xavier really let himself go. O_O

Magneto is my favorite Marvel villain, so it's nice to see him back on the screen, and in two-fold, no less! Can't wait for McKellen and Fassbender to kill it, as usual.

Almost seems like they're trying to fix past X-Men movie mistakes on this one, or perhaps even retcon some things. While I am still holding on to the ever-dying hope that the Deadpool movie will be produced and wish that was on the priority list rather than anything else, this looks not bad.

Played by the same actor? Might be an attempt to tie the X-men film series into the MCU. They wanted to tie in The Amazing Spider-Man but Sony said no or something. Anyway if they could do it earlier Hugh Jackman probably would have least cameoed as Wolverine in Captain America conisdering they have history going back to World War II.
