“On the Mic Training” presents: Voice Acting Foundations - Weekend Workshop in Edmonton
A 2-day weekend workshop taught by veteran voice actress Nicole Oliver

Info about the Workshop:

On The Mic’s Foundations weekend workshop will allow students, who are completely new to voice-over, to learn the basics. They will be introduced to the three main areas of voice-over, commercials, animation and narration. Through this workshop students will discover where their strengths and interests lie and receive support in setting up the next steps for their voice-over career.

Students attending this workshop can expect to:

Work in a professional studio, with industry-standard equipment
Become familiar with mic technique, studio etiquette and industry terminology
Explore your vocal range, in terms of characters and age
Achieve clarity, diction, and pronunciation of speech
Learn how to break down a voice-over script
Receive direction on your reads and apply it to the next take.
Discuss basic business elements such as voice over agents and demos.
Receive all of your recorded work on an mp3 at the end of the 2-day workshop
Date: November 29th & 30th, 2014

Time: 10am-5:30pm each day

She has voiced commercials for over 100 different companies, and work on innumerable animated series , with such career highlights as the role of Princess Celestia, on Hasbro’s “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic”, Zoe Trent on “Littlest Pet Shop” , Molly McGrath on “Max Steel”, Meilin in “CardCaptors”, Starling on “Storm Hawks”, and Ms. Bellumon“PowerPuff Girls Z”.
