Number one for me hands down FMA Brotherhood. But some others are:

2. Hetalia (The accents and raunchy humor made it better than the original)

3. Fairy Tail (Most of the VAs are confident in their roles and none sounds out of place)

4. Soul Eater (The VAs like Fairy Tail is confident in their roles)

5. A Certain Scientific Railgun (The 4 mains charms are brought to life with the on point directing)

6. Deadman Wonderland (The standout performances for me has to be Aaron Dismuke and Leah Clark)

7. Shakugan no Shana (The new voices takes time to get used to but they did a great job of fitting the characters)

1. Fullmetal Alchemist
2. Rebuild of Evangelion films
3. Dragon Ball Z Kai
4. Yu Yu Hakusho
5. Case Closed
6. Mushi-Shi
7. Claymore
8. Dragon Ball
9. Shin Chan
10. Eden of the East
(honorable mention to Soul Eater)

I really agree and enjoyed reading what Jackson H had to say about the "DVD singles" era in comparison to now as well. A lot of their current dubs (although Viz Media [I'm looking right at you, modern Bleach] is guilty of this too) sound pretty rushed.

while ome of the LA dubs have been great like blue exorcist, eureka seven, cowboy bebop, code geass, naruto, bleach hellverse, the fate series, etc. most of their dubs have proven to be stale at times like magi, bleach, durarara, ikki tousen, kekkashi, gurren lagan, dears, paradise kiss, higurashi, etc. and I can tell ya that some of the casting of gargantia is gonna be a total miscast since all of the characters in that anime scream funimation.

speaking of funimation, a lot of their dubs have been fairly solid even for the mediocre and bad animes they've licensed. the only anime dub that did fair well was suzuka. everybody was stale in that show even todd haberkorn.

it's also an improvement for funimation for giving josh grelle a lot of work since he brings a lot of dimension( I expect him to be in more stuff in LA very soon). I expect him to be the voice of eren jaeger and maou-sama from hataraku no maou-sama. heck, if funimation does redub code geass, josh would make a splendid lelouch

No one could replace JYB as Lelouch.

well maybe in the ova they'll let josh play akito and johnny to reprise his role as lelouch. but if yuri has trouble getting to texas, maybe chris burnette can replace him for a little bit as well as Brina Palencia as C.C.

some funimation actors should get more spotlight

I am suprised Aaron Dismuke dont get more roles. he has a cool voice , i was suprised that he did not get cast in Magi. i felt he was of the right age.

maybe he should voice somone in Valrave the liberator.
I once thought maybe Eren jeager too. but I am not sure he can bring that much power.

old classics Paul st Peter? he sometiems seesm to be the Norio Wakamoto of USA

aaron is young. heck, he's a year older than I am and we're both in college. maybe once he graduates college, he'll be getting more voice roles.

as for magi and valvrave. they're both owned by aniplex of America which is an LA only dub and let me tell you that the dubbing in magi is really weak. if funimation handled it, it would've been an enjoyable dub. the only two people who stole the show were liam o'brian, todd haberkorn, kirk thornton, and the voice actress of Aladdin.

josh has brought a lot of power into his character and has been through a lot of major psychological trips. so him voicing eren will be a step up like how vic got Edward and todd got natsu, firo, and death the kid.

i see. never really understood which company of Dubs are which. sicne so many blasts from the pasts are there, I jsut asume

and what do you mean a psychological trip on Josh Grelle?
where certain stories about him true? or do you mena roles?
I mean Josh certainly has a wide range of diffretn kind of boys, but he mostly seems to voice the strange hero type

and now I remeber which role I once hoped Aaron shoudl have taken. but I guess its nto likely
if whatever company would make a dub version of Blood Lad, I alwasy think of his voice as Staz
although if he got that role some may say it was a typecasting.
