Default Finishing Things Up

Trying to finish things up. In order to cut down on posts, I'll wait to post again until I've finished editing all the previous posts.

At the moment, I'm going through episode 10, which appears to be (like a number of episodes of this show) a pilot dub (with cast differences) that they later just included in the episodes package, hoping no one would notice the difference (ala Ronin Warriors: episode 2, New Gigantor, G-Force, etc.). Pinney, for one, is in it voicing at least one episodic guest star; meanwhile, Bunker himself essays the role of Dr. Demon. Don't think Paul Ross (nor Dr. Davis for that matter) is in this one at all.

I'm theorizing that after Count Decapito showed up, and they realized that having Bunker continue to fill in all the holes wasn't going to cut it anymore, they opted to bring back Pinney from the pilot process--when they opted not to use him as Dr. Davis/Dr. Demon and instead brought on Paul Ross as their general utility player.

Scratch that, as unlike most of these previous clips, I actually require a second opinion on this one:

JIM

Clip of character: Most Episodes

CHRIS

Clip of character: Most Episodes

I'm theorizing that both are Robert A. Gaston (clip), making both sound incredibly silly so as to attempt to make each part distinguishable (ala Paul Ross as the non-Manning professors and Pat Pinney as Slade and Slade's partner on the same show, Robert Norman Smith as that villainous duo in Power Stone, et cetera). Even with all the silly affectations, I don't think they're Paul Ross or Gregg Berger (except for that one time it was clearly Berger as Jim for one appearance), and they're definitely not Bunker. Also, most notably, once Pinney shows up as a series regular in the last third, he does not take over for either of them. I'm honestly thinking that names like James Henderson, Teran Davis, James Hodson, and William Lloyd Davis (the name Davis alone is suspicious given how prevalent that surname is in the show itself) are just credit padding ala Jim Terry, Saban, those International Media Group, Inc. dubs (Magnos, Super Grand Prix, and [probably] Gemini Prophecies) et cetera. We know Gaston to be a real person, an actor, and someone who has worked for 3B/Bunker in the past, so...

...and that's all she wrote. Probably a lot more guest stars, but it appears to just be Paul Ross, Mona, or Berger doing them...

...with one exception in episode 22-ish* (can't remember and can't check now), when these characters pop up:

BILLY PARKS

It's her! Voltron, for one, could have learned a thing or two from this willingness to bring on guest actors when need be instead of just soldiering on with the main cast only, flaws be damned.

*I distinctly remember downloading this episode off of an IRC channel on my first day of high school (September 2004). Things were very different in this whole sphere of identifying voices then, and I would never have thought I'd have ever figured out the cast for this show; it seemed so impossible at the time. Guess that's what happens when a lot of the names in the cast are probably made up.
