I honestly thought that was Fred Tatasciore or Dave Sobolov doing the voice, but I am surprise, and impressed just how good a voice actor Tom himself actually proves to be.

Is there a reason for symbiote being pronounced that way, like is it the British way of saying it?

Itís not like symbiote is a made up word like Extremis or Raís, so...why?

I just assumed it was one of those times where a movie or live-action work pronounced something differently then how it's pronounced practically everywhere else...

I don't think the new Venom looks all that different from the SM3 version, personally.

I can actually see both sides of the discussion as to why Venom would still be voiced by Hardy or by a separate voice actor.

The symbiote is sometimes treated as a completely separate entity from its host. Not just an entity, but a true character in-and-of-itself. So they could totally go with a separate actor to perform Venom's voice, to truly show the dichotomy between Eddie and the alien goo. Giving it its own personality and such.

But at the same time, it's not far-fetched to say that Eddie and the symbiote are one. Like, the symbiote is merely an extension of its host's emotions, personality and psyche. So the symbiote is more-or-less a twisted Jekyll-esque version of Eddie (as most versions portray). That's why it also makes sense that Tom Hardy would also voice Venom (with some serious modulation and sound editing, obviously).

I mean, it's not like they just purposefully pronounce it different "just because". They have their reasons, whatever they may be. The "sym-bye-oat" example is a dialect-thing, I'm guessing. Like MM pointed out, Extremis and R'as (or however you spell it, I don't care) are fictional names where certain license can be taken.

So I asked my friend who is a biologist about this whole Sym-Bye-Oats thing and he said that some people pronounce it that way because of the word Symbiotic is pronounce with a BYE in the middle.
So maybe thatís the reason?

I'm 100% sure that this movie will fail big time.

Well I can say that I did enjoy the transformation and Tom Hardy is perfectly cast. The pronunciation of symbiote will take some getting use to but it's fine.

I am however very nervous about everything else. I don't get how Venom will work without Spiderman as well as some other things but I'll try to be positive for now.

Also I found this on the internet and felt the need to share it. https://twitter.com/MutantMadman/sta...30186366640128
