Re: Are Vancouver dubs going to go extinct?
Not sure if this makes a difference, but San Francisco isn't 100% new to dubbing anime. They dubbed the SaiKano series, and the JOJO's Bizarre Adventure OVAs. That's not much at all, but I have to...

Re: Are Vancouver dubs going to go extinct?
Completely agreed. I'd love there to be more Canadian and British, and maybe Australian-New Zealander dubs of anime and other stuff. I don't think too many new dubbing scenes are going to come about...

Re: Gunbuster English Dub
By the time it got popular in English-speaking countries, the split audio tracks were lost to time. If a dub is made, they'll have to redo the sound effects and use rips of the OST.

Re: Are Vancouver dubs going to go extinct?
I'm all for Montreal getting to be allowed to dub anime once more. Of the four major Canadian talent pools (Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto are the other ones) it's easily the most underrated (even...

Re: Are Vancouver dubs going to go extinct?
Between this and IMB's thread on Asian English dubs, i'm wondering if i should do a post/ thread on dubs across the Anglosphere? The only other language that seems to have this situation as well is...

Re: What’s the deal with William Winckler?
Stands for "Hollywood no Kenshiro".
Anyway, i'm going to see his other work before completely dismissing him as a hack (considering he has a decent resume acting-wise, if nothing else)....

Re: What’s the deal with William Winckler?
Read that, and he seems like a mess. To his credit, his brand of localization isn't far off from many people's thoughts, as insulting and unfaithful as it is. EDIT: Don't get me wrong, i hate his...

What’s the deal with William Winckler?
Recently, due to a posting of his Kenshiro performance, William “HOLLYWOOD” Winckler has been getting a lot of vitriol and jokes lobbed at him. I’m not going to pretend he doesn’t deserve any of it...

Easily Doug Lawrence (behindthevoiceactors.com/Doug-Lawrence/). The man has a legitimately awesome voice and nails many sides of his characters. Furthermore, much of Spongebob's cast besides Clancy...
