That was a really cool interview. I was somewhat surprised when he said that Marvel didn't really hold them back from including as many Marvel characters in the game as they wanted, and it was disheartening to hear that it would be much more difficult today because the focus is on the film franchises and as a result characters become much more tightly held "assets", so to speak. The fact that it is so much more unlikely for media directly based on the comics rather than the movies to be produced was the most disappointing part.
In some ways, it would suck to be a comic book fan, or just a fan of these characters in general nowadays. I'd say the majority of the hardcore comic fans really don't care much for modern Marvel comics, and a lot of them really dislike the MCU, and the other media that does come out often tries to copy elements of it because they figure that sells the best and that's where the focus should be.

I started making that video way back in late 2017 but shelved it due to work and only recently dug it up again to finish it. I'm still really fond of both those Tenshinhan and Bojack dream casts.
