I was just about to send you that. Khoi Dao as Keiichi sounds like a decent choice, I really liked his Kiriyama in the 3-Gatsu dub. I'm not a very big fan of the other actors tbh. It honestly has to take a god tier dub to convince me to give up the sub and this ain't it.

Yeah I... I dunno. RCS Daigo looked fine on paper but when I heard it it was kinda "wut." Ron Yuan seems to have the same problem with Saejima as he did with Scorpion - he's too composed. Whatever. It's just WEIRD, man. So weird.

Their modern stuff is almost not like the same company, which is a shame. These days their stuff looks like "slightly more interesting BZ" instead of the gangbusters dubs they used to produce.

Speaking of Hellsing, I came across this interview a while back from Taliesin Jaffe. Apparently it was almost in the cards for Geneon and NGP to get Saint Seiya back in 2000. Can you imagine how that could have played out? Classic NGP Saint Seiya sounds like a dream. He also wanted to do Legend of the Galactic Heroes, too.

Congratulations Bang Zoom, you met the bare minimum. Maybe slightly more by asking David Kaye. In theory a cross country dub is cool but my excitement is heavily tempered since the LA side seems to be BZ as usual. Should've honestly gone for Ocean for the whole hog. At least the dub will be watchable.

Oh man, I prefer Shion's PS3 outfit too, but ah well. I'm still lagging on watching anime in general. Longest anime slump I've had, though I broke it to watch.... the Winckler dub of Captain Harlock. Don't do that.

I actually haven't seen Inuyasha (yeah big hole in my watch history) but I'm outraged for Ocean getting the shaft again. If it was Funi or something at least they would have attempted to get the original VAs back but I have no real hope for Bang Zoom. I suppose the fact it's union means it's possible for David Kaye to come back but BZ really doesn't like to go beyond the usual Steve-Kari-Crispin combo. I'm pretty sure the only exceptions are Michael Donovan in Fate (which is a grandfathered casting anyway) and putting Jessica DiCiccio in super small roles.

I'm fine with that. I ended up really enjoying Zero (not the anime adaptation as much) so hopefully that same level of writing will be brought to the table.

Although I really want the overarching meta-narrative to come to some conclusion. Chaos;Child in particular left a lot open ended.
