I think I'm most relieved with Tiffany and Allison coming back. I'm too lazy to even look up her name right now, but the girl who voiced Asuka in the Netflix redub was extremely underwhelming. She sounded the right age, but she had zero bite to her performance. Just about everything that made Tiffany's performance so potent and memorable was just gone.

I'm also slightly disappointed Sue Ulu won't be coming back as Ritsuko. I think she had a distinctive voice and it would've been interesting to hear her again. Mary Faber does sound like a fitting choice after checking out a few of her clips, though.

I can see preferring Brina as Rei. I'm kinda mixed on who I like better between them. I think Amanda had a cool sound, but I think she leaned a little too hard into making Rei sound cold. Brina did a better job at not making her sound like an outright weirdo, but she also sounded a little too plain, IMO. I'm interested to hear how Amanda will tweak her performance after all this time has passed. If she can keep that same interesting sound without sounding like a complete ghost, that would be my favorite.

I'm also interested to hear Daman Mills as Kaworu. I feel that all of his dub interpretations have been lacking.

So, have you heard the news about the Rebuild films being redubbed with Amanda Winn Lee and some of the other cast members from ADV returning? I almost feel like the dub history of Evangelion is starting to have as many twists and turns as the show itself.

Maybe it would be pushing our luck to hope for this, but it would be cool if the upcoming home video release of the original series and EOE from GKids has yet another redub from this cast instead of the Netflix one. Frankly, I'm excited for this Rebuild re-dub, but I've lost most of my interest in the movies themselves. My preference is definitely for the original series.

Yeah, I enjoyed it a lot. Given its episodic nature it didn't really feel like it had a satisfying finale, but it was still a good show overall that's worth checking out I'd say.

Yeah, I heard some pretty bad things about season 2, I'll still probably check it out eventually but I'll prepare for the worst.

Yup, it's a really good dub. Story-wise it's pretty cheesy, but if you turn your brain off and go into it expecting some over the top DBZ/Jojo-esque stuff, I think you're going to have a good time.

LOL yeah, it was fun though, the video doesn't showcase it, but there's one dude in it who's outright doing an Elvis impression, lol.

No, I haven't, I don't have Disney+, I do hear good things about it though.

Onihei's an episodic show set in the Edo period of Japan mostly focusing on the head officer of arson and theft control, pretty much dealing with him taking down criminals and dealing with his family life along the way. It has a pretty interesting cast of characters and isn't too continuity heavy. The later half of the series was probably my favourite for how intense and dramatic it got.

I liked Gargoyle and Captain Nemo the most myself, though Marie's episode did legit make me cry.

Oh, very nice! I really liked season 1 of Psycho-Pass myself, but never got around to the movie or season 2, now that I have my Netflix account back though, maybe I'll see if it's on there or Crunchyroll.

Mostly been watching old anime titles lately. Not sure how much you'd be interested in, but I did just finish up Onihei which was pretty fantasitc. Also I finally managed to track down the Streamline dub of Nadia on Archive.org. Glad I finally managed to find it, let alone download it for myself.
