In those cases it's probably because the pages are set to hidden, since they aren't ready to be viewed yet.

Hey man, thanks! I'm doing all right, finishing up my senior year of undergrad so ducks are being put in rows. How're you doing?

I just pick whichever voice actors I feel would be a good fit for their characters. Simple as that

And about radio shows, well, it all started when I was quite young, I must have been three or four years, and my grandpa used to play tape recordings of radio shows in order to entertain me. And I really loved using my imagination while hearing these wonderful radio shows. So yeah, despite being born in the 90's, I was basically raised on radio shows (and I did watch some reruns old cartoons as well as some of the then current wave of cartoons, so you could also say that I was raised on variety).

Well, it wasn't a really high budget, but I think it was bigger than those budgets from the 80's dubs. However, the schedules were always pretty tight, so the dubs had to be done fast.

And the reason they went with those VAs is because the voice director, Alan Dinehart, had worked with them in radio as well as in some Hanna-Barbera productions, and he decided to cast them immediately (he knew that thanks to their range, he could use them for minor characters as well). So yeah, it was mainly thanks to the voice director that we got a dub with these incredibly talented people.

Ah I see. I could argue however that NY & Texas still get the short end of the stick. They dot even get great character work. As you said, Texas only gets any exposure as FUNi are located there - thats the thing, theres a ton of folk now & theyre sorely missing the big budget stuff.

Anyways...back to sound as part of character..thoughts?

Texas gets so much dubs that I'd hardly call them strapped for work in any respect (I miss the pre-recession days when they really had to fight for their keep), Seattle only has voice-acting exposure because NoA is conveniently based there, and 4Kids is practically the only big non-Sesame Street thing New York had going for it, so now it's only got Pokemon around to keep it visible.

Vancouver and Toronto continue to prove themselves perfectly capable of handling mainstream productions thanks to My Little Pony and Teletoon's other ongoing endeavors, but in terms of what the casual cartoon viewer deems to be worthwhile talent, they're consistently looked over in favor of the same LA players we've heard over a hundred times.

I'd go about the casting on an individual basis based on what the character is like. And of course I'm going for the Vancouver pool because they don't have the exposure for more people to default to them yet.

Anyway, I can't say anything about the MGS dub because I'm not a fan anyway, so I wouldn't know what I was talking about.
