Awesome. The Janet Waldo/Sam Edwards interview is a lot of fun, both share a lot of fun anecdotes from the old radio days. The interview with Michael Rye is pretty interesting and insightful, but it has it's fun moments. He also mentions two of his cartoon roles: Green Lantern and the Lone Ranger. And let me tell you, when I met him in 2012, he was just as delightful as in this interview.

Incidentally, I managed to rewatch episode 5, and I think I identified Michael Rye as President Kane (which I mentioned yesterday) and one of the ship crew members, Bill Woodson as the ship's commander and Alan Young as Fuller (the only crew member with a name).

It's no problem, thank you very much! I'll be sure to look through these.

Yeah, Janet does kid voices, but that kid voice doesn't sound like Janet at all.

Yeah, it's pretty easy to spot them. I've also been able to spot Alan Dinehart in some roles (like the Spectra Commander of episode 2).

I have never been able to see the G-Force dub in it's entirety, but there are some actors in it which I like (Barbara Goodson and Gregg Berger). And yes, it's really cool to hear performers talking to themselves

I remember Waldo saying she did women and children voices, so that might be where the idea of her being Buddy came from, but we do have those two other actresses to consider.

Haha, Casey Kasem and Ronnie Schell are kind of easy to spot for some extras too! I remember hearing the pilot "Tiny" voice again at some point.

Well, there are 85 episodes to handle, so hopefully by that point, we'll have some idea of what's what. I feel like the Gatchaman page on this site should be split up for each dub version, as it makes things less confusing, but I'm sure they plan to get to it sometime! The "G-Force" dub's another interesting case, since there were no voice credits but the talent pool was incredibly limited (you can hear Barbara Goodson voicing an entire sports team of young boys in episode 28). Shame that so little of it has been ripped or available.

Oh, yeah. I almost forgot. In episode 4, I also noticed that Casey Kasem played a Spectra Trooper using his computer voice (which he used for the SuperFriends computer and Teletraan-I).

Hoo-boi, the more we keep investigating, the plot thickens even more.

I'm not sure about Debbie, but Buddy is definetly not Janet.

Oh, yeah. I think I'll also have to go through those episodes featuring the female Spectra spies on the weekend in order to refresh my mind. Really interesting how they made characters out of Katse's female form.

Yeah, Jolliffe is very easy to identify thanks to that youthful voice he has.

Ah yeah, Buddy and Debbie! I usually heard their roles attributed to Janet Waldo, since she was the main actress, but I really have to wonder how many roles thought to be hers may be someone else's. There are some times where it's more obviously her, but then I've heard other roles be questioned, like Mala in "The Galaxy Girls".
Funny thing is that Sandy Frank's scriptwriters translated the female Galactor commander/Katse's fem self into quite a few different characters, so I have to over the episodes where she appears to hear how she's voiced.

Some actors are easier to pick out immediately compared to others, though I think recognize David Joliffe as being Orin in the episode where the couple are turned into cyborgs, and then he's Kolb in "Vacation on Venus".

Yeah, and I recently rewatched episode 4 and part of episode 5, and I think Rye also plays Dr. Harlan and President Kane. Yeah, it's really tricky to identify the actors, especially with the lack of credit.

There is a little boy in episode 3, which I think is played by Wendy Young, and I suspect that Dr. Harlan's daughter in episode 4 is Takayo Fischer.

Oh wow! That does sound like the guy. I wouldn't be surprised if Sandy Frank had some other actors that came and went during the production. The fact their credits were so paltry after episode 1 is really a shame, especially with the age of the dub making it more difficult if they hadn't kept regular records of who was in recording sessions.

His connection with Dinehart would make sense too, so yeah. I hope others might look into that! I made an attempt to catalog some BOTP/Gatchaman characters in a TV Request thread a long time back, but I needed express sources, which are difficult for those older dubs.
I still want to look into what episodes/characters Takayo Fischer may have voiced in, but hopefully with all these deductions, we might have a bit more of a cast and findings to present for a page .
So far, it looks like we have Alan Oppenheimer, David Joliffe, Takayo Fischer, William Woodson, Wendy Young, and now possibly Michael Rye to take into account for extras' voices.
