I've been great, thanks for asking. How about you???

Eh, don't worry. You can check that dream cast anytime (and if you're familiar with the Japanese G1 Transformers cartoons, even better).

Yeah, well, they mostly reunite actors for conventions or these kind of featurettes (although conventions are a lot more frequent than featurettes).

Oh hey! Sorry I didn't get to respond in time to your last message. How've you been?
Great to see they got those actors together for a "Transformers" reunion, wonder how often or feasible such things are.

Say, you should check this out. It's a really interesting featurette:

Say, have you ever watched the Japanese Transformers cartoons (Headmasters, Masterforce, Victory and Zone)????

I did an 80's dream cast a while ago for these cartoons, in which I said to myself "what if these cartoons were dubbed using radio veterans along with the frequently used talent of the day, ala Battle of the Planets???". I even put Alan Dinehart as recording director:

I've been fine, thanks for asking.

And don't worry, better late than never!!!

    Oh, yes. That's a shame.

And yup, I love these guys so much that I like investigating about them.

Hi! How have you been? Sorry it took a while to get back on this, BTVA didn't notify me of the message until today.

Neat to see these identifications, though it is a shame that it seems like no one at Sandy Frank could really peg what roles Young or Fischer had. I've still wanted to eventually go over more episodes, but since you know the older actors pretty well, this has been great to know.

Oh, yes. "Not even a recently disturbed Hula skirt!!!". Yes, I must admit that even though the ADV dub didn't have all the actors in the room, which is the reason why I prefer BOTP, it also managed to inject a lot of fun into a lot of scenes. And yes, calling Demon 5's song "Battle of the Planets" was a pretty clever nod.

Yes, that's also a favorite of mine because of Tiny having a fairly important role. He's my favorite character, and most of my favorite episodes feature him either having a pivotal role, or giving hilarious one-liners. There is a line in there that I still quote whenever I'm eating:

"Gee, I'm right in the middle of a very important mission, Chief!!!"

The gold episode is a great one! Dinehart definitely had some fun with that bit, some of the dub writing could be pretty amusing and creative at times. The ADV dub sometimes takes some big liberties itself, sometimes to the aggravation of fans, though there are a few fun moments in it too (like having the Demon 5's song be called "Battle of the Planets").

The Ibukron episode is one of my favorites out of the early batch, in either sub or dub. Dinehart's range in that scene was pretty good though!

Oh, and I think you should check these two Battle of the Planets scenes...

Scene 1 (it starts at 5:12 and it ends at 5:49):

Tiny is just so HILARIOUS!!! Director Alan Dinehart really seems to be having fun in the role.
