Classic shonen protagonist is classic. Son Goku was one of my favorite fictional characters as a wee boy and even today he's still a very likable, compelling lead; a simple design, yes, yet entertaining enough. {cough} Vegeta'sstillabetterdadthanKakarot {cough} {cough}

I feel like Lex Lang is miscast as Goku. He sounds too deep, doesn't have authentic enough screams, and tries to have some sort of a Bruce Lee impression when he fights (ie. Yatatatatatatatatatatatatata!!!!)?

Like, I know Goku trained under the Roshi style before, and it's some sort of Chinese martial arts, but come on, it's far from a Bruce caricature.

for me it will always be Sean Schemmel as the Goku I liek the most. but all have done well, to create an icon in thier own way.

Sean Schemmel sounded really flat in both dubs of Z, but he is fantastic in the role nowadays. I even prefer him over Ms. Nozawa.

Ian James Corlett, Peter Kelamis, and Kirby Morrow were great too.

Masako Nowaza sounds kinda strange when you're used to Goku's dub voices, but I can't deny she acts the part well.

While Goku's Japanese voice fits when he's a kid... The voice still stayed with him as an adult? That confuses me dearly, and when he screams it's unbearable. So I'd rather have English dub Goku, who specifically? Sean Schemmel since I haven't heard the others that often.

@Joshthepikachu2123 Nozawa also voices every male biologically related to him, except for Raditz.

Goku sound so much better in Dub, but thats only me.

I'very always windered, why do we have Goku and his family listed as Goku Son, Gohan Son, etc. instead of Son Goku? The Son always comes first, even in the few times it's mentioned in English.

@Nightmare Crusher
Great question. Best answer I can give is that if someone uses the "Browse Characters"

They'll look for Goku under "G" not "S" if Son were written first he'd appeared in the "S" section.

FWIW we are planning to improve this area to sort character searches and also for characters that have alternate names

e.g. Katsuya Jonouchi vs Joey Wheeler

@Jackson_H Fair enough I'd say.

To me, Goku is nearly the only true anime hero in the world to date... But this really isn't saying much! I just like the character for who he is and what he does... To Namek! *flys on Nimbus over to Namek
