All members of BTVA are welcome to submit a performance for voice acting practice or just for fun! See below for details.

THE RESULTS ARE IN!
The Final Four!! Congratulations for making it this far! Up to this point in the contest you have been asked to record one unique take on each of the characters you have been presented. However, often times in the recording or audition process Voice Actors are directed to give different takes on a single character in order for the Voice Director to find the exact voice he/she is looking for.

For this reason, for the first time in this contest you are going to have to choose a single character from the possible choices and record the exact same lines in two distinct and unique takes. Whether you change the tone, alter the inflections you use or the words you emphasize is completely up to you. Changing the voice is optional but it's much more important to change the reading. In the end the key is to give us two versions of the exact same character but at the same time making both of them equally as impressive.

You have already voiced some classic Disney Heroes so for this round we are going to go to the opposite end of the spectrum and present you with characters that are full of possibilities, we are immersing you into the personalities of DC Comics Villains!!

Also, please note that now that we have reached the semi-finals we no longer will have the ability to save any of you, it is up to you to impress and gain the votes of the public. Do that and you will find yourself in the first ever "Act Your Voice Out" final!

Good Luck!!

2 Finalists with the most votes will move onto The Final.
Judges' have no say on who moves on.
2 Finalists will be eliminated.

Lex Luthor

Monologue: (Choice)
(Lex Luthor has become President and due to his actions, the world is now in a state of war. Superman arrives to try and stop Luthor once and for all and says it's because of the people (the population who elected Luthor) that he didn't stop him sooner)
"The people? This is all their fault. And they're going to burn for it. Buuuuurn. (Superman calls Luthor a mad dog) Ooooooo, a threat? But this old dog still has a few teeth. (Luthor is about to press a button that would unleash an unknown weapon and Superman tells Luthor there's many ways he can stop him) But they all involve deadly force don't they? And you don't do that. No. You need me. You wouldn't be much of a hero without a villain, and you do love being a hero, don't you? The cheering children, the swooning women - you love it so much, it's made you my most reliable accomplice! You could have crushed me any time you wanted. And it wasn't the law or the will of the people that stopped you - it was your ego. Being a hero was too important to you. You're as much responsible for this as I am! So go ahead, fix it somehow. Put me on trial, lock me up - but I'll beat it. And then we'll start the whole thing all over again."

Lex Luthor was a powerful businessman and criminal mastermind. He was widely considered to be one of Earth's most brilliant minds and one of Superman's greatest enemies. At heart, Luthor was devious, shrewd, and cold. Although a normal human, Lex Luthor possesses a keen intellect as well as a photographic memory. At his peak, his vast intelligence and technological know-how is matched only by notables such as Mr. Terrific and Bruce Wayne, though Lex is not quite as skilled a combatant. He rarely wades into combat without some sort of weapon; be it a power suit, gun, or a chunk of Kryptonite to deal with Superman. Perhaps his greatest asset is his ruthlessness, as he will go to absolutely any end to get what he wants, regardless of the consequences.
Sinestro

Monologue: (Choice)
(Sinestro lectures the human Green Lantern Hal Jordan about showing weakness and compassion in front of criminals after a murderer eludes them because of Jordan. He also vents his frustration about his superiors reluctance in using their power rings to enforce more authority on criminals throughout the universe)
"Let me tell you, friend. The only way to operate out here is by fear. They hit, I hit harder. They attack, I annihilate. I am the one constant, unassailable force against their chaos and you made them forget that. You think I enjoy this? Look at the universe the Guardians have created. We have the greatest power in the cosmos and what have they made us? Garbage collectors! We pick up the trash. A thief here, a killer there. Scum, dirt, filth! There's no end to it, but there could be. It's my dream that one day all of this rot will be wiped away. A new order will prevail, one that will end the chaos but it won't be built by the faint of heart. You got soft on me back there, Earth boy, and that I will not tolerate. "

Sinestro was a former member of the Green Lantern Corps and later he became their greatest enemy. His desire to preserve order initially saw him as one of the greatest Green Lanterns, but as the years went by, he became obsessed with preserving the order by any means necessary.
Deemed unfit to wield the power of the Green Lantern's ring by the Guardians of the Universe, Sinestro was brought down by his fellow Green Lanterns, including John Stewart, and stripped of his power ring. Swearing a blood oath of revenge and vowing to destroy the Green Lantern Corps, Sinestro began hunting Green Lanterns and collecting their rings. Sinestro has the same powers and abilities as members of the Green Lantern Corps thanks to his yellow power ring. With his ring, he can fly, travel through space, project energy, use a force field, and generate yellow energy constructs.
Catwoman

Monologue: (Choice)
(Catwoman's real persona, Selina Kyle is at a museum benefit and sees an exhibit of an extinct black leopard and reminisces in her head about when she used to be Catwoman)
"Poor baby. I used to be just like you. A child of the night, wild and free. I was the cat who walked by herself. The city was my hunting ground. I prowled Gotham each night. Going where I liked, and taking whatever I wanted. (Referring to Batman) Until I met him. I gave him my best, but in the end ... kitty got her claws clipped. (Remembers when she narrowly escaped going to jail and was put on good behavior probation) Had to promise I'd be a good little pet and walk on a leash. Even if it killed me. (She now talks out loud to her friend, Bruce Wayne) Extinction. I can relate to that. Giving up Catwoman hasn't been easy Bruce. I miss the excitement, the danger. Sometimes I feel so tempted. (Bruce reminds her, giving in to her temptation would lead to prison) Tell me I'm not in a cage now. Look Bruce, it was sweet of you to invite me, but I don't fit in here. Sometimes I feel like I don't fit in anywhere."

Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman, was a morally ambiguous thief whose plans were continually foiled by Batman. Although she was a thief at heart, she was also a vocal animal rights activist, sometimes using her costumed persona to investigate and thwart companies violating animal rights. atwoman had no abilities beyond those of a normal human being. However, she was relatively fit, and displayed some gymnastics training. Additionally, Selina was an effective seductress, a talent she employed to remove herself from treacherous situations, be they with Batman, the police, or otherwise. She also has a way with any animal feline, knowing how to keep her enemies' cats from attacking herself.

Monologue: (Choice)
(Harley recounts the time she first realized she was falling in love with the insane Joker. The following is read as psychiatrist Dr. Harleen Quinzel)
"It soon became clear to me the Joker, so often described as a raving, homicidal madman ... was actually a tortured soul crying out for love and acceptance. A lost, injured child trying to make the world laugh at his antics. And there, as always, was the self-righteous Batman. Determined to make life miserable for my angel. Yes, I admit it. As unprofessional as it sounds, I had fallen in love with my patient. Pretty crazy, huh?"
((Having finished telling her story, Harley contemplates her situation. The following is read as Harley Quinn)
"Face it, Harl, this stinks! You're a certified nutso wanted in twelve states and hopelessly in love with a psychopathic clown. At what point did my life go Looney Tunes? How did it happen? Who's to blame?... Batman, that's who. Batman! It's always been Batman! Ruining my life, spoiling my fun! Coming between me and my Puddin' from the very beginning."

I love the anger, the inflections. I could definitely see you as Sinestro. Has a great tone for him. You can see his anger for the guardians and Hal. I liked the 2nd take best. But both were equally great.

SCP21

I like the 2nd take much better here. I got more of the feeling there. The first line was less emotional and more of Harley raving. I felt the 2nd had just the right amount of feeling in how she talked to herself as well as how she acted about her predica

The lines seemed a little over acted. It wasn't bad but this one's not as believable. It almost seemed like there were too many pauses in there from the take.

The takes here had the right feeling to them overall. There were a few instances where I felt there could have been more authority portrayed but it was a good take with the right emotions and inflections to it.
