 1 Shout Out!
Wow, he's dubbed over Arnold Schwarzenegger, Charlton Heston, Sylvester Stallone, Steven Seagal, Laurence Fishburne, Samuel L. Jackson, Dan Aykroyd, John Goodman and Gerard Depardieu.

Hell, he even played Cable, Punisher and Batman, three characters that Peter Cullen (who Genda dubs over in most Transformers media) could probably pull off.

Now that's great talent.

Happy 69th Birthday, Mitsuo Yokoi aka Tessho Genda akaka Pirouette! Not only is he one of the most prolific voice actors within Japan, he is hands down one of the most celebrated seiyuu in the universe. Known for his gruff and booming register alongside having a solid Japanese dub voice-over resume, if you're gonna go out of your way to get into a seiyuu's work, make certain this guy is *that* person you get attached to.

One thing I find fascinating about Tessho Genda is how he has voiced in two separate dubs of Ghostbusters.

Obviously he is better known as Ray Stanz in the main DVD/Blu-Ray dub of Ghostbusters but he had also voiced Winston Zeddmore in the 1989 TV Asahi dub of the movie.

another similar situation to this had also happened to Genda is with Men in Black, where he has voiced both Frank the Pug (DVD/VHS Edition) and Edgar the Bug (Nippon TV Edition) in two separate dubs.

I gotta say he really is the king of Japanese dubbing.

@Autovolt He (along with the deceased Kenji Utsumi & Daisuke Gori, as well as the remaining Banjo Ginga) is like the Japanese Kevin Michael Richardson.

His Optimus & especially Batman are somewhat deeper than Cullen & Conroy's, I'll say.

@Metabad Whoops I meant to reply to NCZ's comment. But anyway, yeah he's got quite a resume on him.

Someone's not up to date with a certain series. I won't spoil it for ya, though.
