Happy Birthday Paul Winchell!

My top 5 favourite roles of his are:

1.) Tigger (Winnie The Pooh)
2.) Gargamel (The Smurfs)
3.) Dick Dastardly (Wacky Races)
4.) Mr. Owl (Tootsie Pops)
5.) Silvermane (Spider-Man)

It's pretty cool this year, they brought back the old Tootsie Pops commercials on some channels in the US and you get to hear Paul's Winchell's classic character Mr. Owl once again. I noticed that while watching MLP FIM streams as the new episodes were airing on Discovery Family and that's awesome.

Happy birthday and RIP Paul Winchell!!!

I really liked him as Silvermane. He was definitely a standout of the solo Spider-Man cartoon, sounding fittingly aged and devious. He was also a pretty decent Uncle Ben, despite sounding like a somewhat weak impression of Tom Harvey's Uncle Ben.

I also liked him as Tigger and Dick Dastardly.

And gosh, I really love it when people have more talents than just acting, and Paul was an actor, a ventriloquist and an inventor, which was pretty great.

My favorite Paul Winchell role is definitely Dick Dastardly. Wacky Races & Dick Dastardly & their Flying Machines were two Hanna Barbera shows I watched alot of back in my childhood & it's the role I associate the most with. His Tigger was also great as well.

Happy Birthday and RIP Paul Winchell!

He was an amazing voice actor, one that was very fun to listen to growing up.

Tigger is without a doubt my favourite role of his, so funny, so energetic, just about perfect in the role. It was awesome that he was the original Disney voice and kept voicing him till the late nineties.

I also loved his performances as Gargamel, Dick Dastardly, Silvermane and Mr. Owl.

It's also pretty cool that invented the original artificial heart patent and numerous other inventions too.

I recently watched the episode of Spider-Man (1981) that Paul had guest voiced in as Silvermane and it was pretty interest how many incidental roles he's had in that one episode. It was cool they made the most of his talents despite just voicing in that episode.

Happy Birthday and RIP Paul Winchell!

Happy Birthday Paul. My biggest reason for being a voice actor, and one of the greatest entertainers who ever lived.

May you rest in peace.

The brilliant acting roles of this man as Dick Dastardly, Tigger, Bubi, Zummi Gummi, Marmaduke, Gargamel and Clyde are the gate to the career and life of truly, truly talented and kind-hearted soul.

His whole career which started from Major Bowers radio contest in the 1930s up to playing Dick Dastardly. His wonderful ''Winchell and Mahoney Time''. His roles on ''The Beverly Hillbillies'', ''Brady Bunch'' and ''The Dick Van Dyke Show''.

It's a blessing that he overcame all of his early life problems. Some people say that he could be very moody and times, but whatever you read about this man. Know that deep down he was a good person, who endured a lot, and do not judge him but hope that one day you will be judged by him. His daughter April once said that one time when they were having dinner at a restaurant, several fans came to his table asking for his autograph and praising him. He stood up and graciously conversed with every one of them. When she asked him why he did that, he told her: "Do you like the food? Do you like your clothes? All this is thanks to those people.

Without this man, I would seriously not even be here. Paul is not only one of my favorite voice actors, he's one of my favorite entertainers, People in general, and my biggest inspiration in the business. I know people will say that Mel Blanc or Frank Welker inspired them the most in the voice acting industry, but Paul is the reason I'm even interested in the entertainment industry.

When I was 7 years old I discovered Paul Winchell was a ventriloquist as well as the voice of Tigger, so I started learning more about Paul, and the horrible life that he had was just heart breaking to read about. An insane mother, he was in the hospital a lot of his life, but he pushed through and got into ventriloquism. Paul not only knew how to entertain children, but he knew how to entertain anybody.

If you were sad Paul always knew how to put a smile on your face no matter what. Paul was an underrated genius, a wonderful entertainer, a brilliant ventriloquist and voice actor, and I can not thank him enough for getting me interested in this industry. R.I.P. Paul you deserve it after all you have given us.
