@8000 Saiyans That's Asian Genetics for you.

Grace Park from Battlestar Galactica is in her Early 40's but she looks like she's in her Mid 20's.

@EPA Deane I envy Asians for looking so good in their 50's.

Take a look at Atsuko Tanaka and Kikuko Inoue.

Happy Birthday Ming-Na Wen!!

Easily one of my favorite actresses for the past 4-5 years. My first early memory recognition of her was her role voicing Fa Mulan in Disney's Mulan and was surprised able to reprise her role in both the direct-to video sequel, Kingdom Hearts II, the Disney Infinity series, and among many others.

More recently, I also enjoyed her role Agent Melinda May in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

So Happy Birthday Ming-Na, and hope you continue to do more exciting work in the future. :)

Happy Birthday Ming-Na Wen!

Fantastic actress in just about every way, My favourite role of hers is as Agent Melinda May in Agents of SHIELD, it was also pretty cool when she also doubled as Agent 33 too.

She was also excellent as Mulan and Ellen Yin. I hope to see or hear her in more things in the near future.

I finally got around to watching Mulan in full recently and Ming-Na was absolutely fantastic as Mulan.

and while I've lost interest in Agents of SHIELD the past year, it's pretty great that she got to finally voice Agent May in Lego Marvel Avengers. May is one of the better characters in the series.

Happy Birthday Ming-Na Wen!

@TylerMirage Makes sense. It wass easy for her to get the job when Disney owns Marvel

@pete Makes me wonder if that was actually a factor in her being cast, though.

Disney owns Marvel. Agents of SHIELD is Marvel. Mulan is Disney. Ming-Na voiced Mulan. It's connective tissue, sure, but is it really enough for it to be on their minds when they cast her?

There's so many decisions that happen behind the scenes with productions, that it'd be interesting to find out if voicing Mulan was actually a determining factor in her involvement with Agents of SHIELD.

@TylerMirage It might have been something wanted a racially diverse agent, not Chinese necessarily, and Disney brought her up, or he could have gotten news on it from Disney and audtiioned.
