Happy Birthday Micheal Liscio Jr!

His overall work in Arc-V was just phenomenonal IMO. Zarc and Yuri were awesome villain performances, his Yuya improved a LOT from how he first started, and his Yuto was honestly great "performance-wise" from the get-go. Though it took until season 2 where he finally settled on the ideal voice for him.

His Yugo and Yusho are kinda mixed for me (I honestly think Yusho should've been played by someone else, and that they should've had Liscio Jr not try a "Yusei" impression for Yugo), but regardless. The fact that he pulled off so many characters in one show, and gave them all distinctive tones is something worthy of praise IMO.

I also love his work as Clemont and Inkay!

Although hid performance as Yugo varies a lot, quite liked him as Clemont.

Was also in one of Brittany Lauda's dubs called World War Blue which also had Jake Paque, Keith Silverstein, Ben Diskin and some other faces.

To be honest I really disliked his Yugo at first. But after seeing Yugo's duel with that Sector Security police officer I do think it fits now.

His performances in Arc V range from serviceable to genuinely good. I honestly think he'd benefit from having fewer characters to juggle, but I like his work enough that I hope he does more anime in the future.

I've seen a few episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V and I gotta say, while I didn't think his voice matched at first he's honestly pretty good as Yuya IMO.

Assuming MyAnimeList and Anime News Network are correct...

Happy birthday, Michael! I've grown rather fond of his Yuya, scripting problems aside. There's a lot of sincerity in his performance, and- as I've already mentioned- it's a testament to his range that he's somehow managing to pull off quadruple duty.

(I find it both oddly hilarious that I'm responsible for half the comments on this page.)

Wow... Yuya, Yuto, Yugo and Yuri. That means he's talked to himself at least a half-dozen times. I'm impressed.

@nikipotamus His Yuya, Yuto and Yuri are all solid IMO. I'm just not sure how I feel about his Yugo however. I "think" it's meant to sound like Greg Abbey's Yusei, but his delivery is just... weird-sounding. Not sure how to explain it but still. His work in the show is great overall however!

@HylianBelmont I'm inclined to agree with you there. I think he tried to mimic Greg Abbey's New York twang and never quite got the hang of it. His Yuto's a bit of a mixed bag for me too, admittedly; the gruffness in the voice isn't always consistent. But when he reaches the big moments, he delivers quite nicely.

@nikipotamus I think he honestly did get the gruffness of Yuto's voice down pretty well in his duel with Yugo! (Which is actually kind of amusing/ironic to me, considering what happens in that episode)

But yeah, perhaps his Yugo will grow on me. But it is rather distracting how "put-on" the voice feels in comparison to most of the cast (Which, despite not having ideal scripting at times, is still a fairly solid dub in terms of voice acting IMHO)

I was watching a bit of Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V today since it's airs just before the newest episode of Transformers: RID on Teletoon and I've got to say that his Yuya kind of sounds like Bryce Papenbrook.

I think he shows some promise as a VA, hopefully he'll voice in an NYAV Post dub.

I really want to hear him in a better directed production someday soon.

@Autovolt His voice is a lot smoother than Bryce's, but I agree on wishing he'd appear in something better directed. That's the problem with the current crop of NY VAs. They're talented, but their potential is being inhibited.

He makes me think of Rick Moranis. Am I crazy? I heard Rick still does some VA work..at least I think I did so figured it could be him.

Love Clemont such a fun character and I think well voiced.

Sorta disappointed it isn't Rick, but only a little. Good job Michael I look forward to hearing more of your work.

Funny, I could've sworn I commented here two or three days ago.

Anyway, this guy's decent as Clemont, and a solid Yuya (questionable dialogue aside) in Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc V. I'd like to hear him and Alyson Rosenfeld in other titles.
