This guy is really versatile. Probably one of the most versatile actors working at Ocean.

Kinda unfortunate half of his roles are these silly overly kiddie cartoon voices he has a pretty huge range

said at 3:30 PM on Tue Nov 14 2017
@HienFan And why is that unfortunate? Because of the tone or style or genre of the show, that somehow lessens his range or diminishes his skill?
said at 11:15 PM on Mon Dec 11 2017
@TylerMirage It's just a case of type casting because hey easy peasy choice

@HienFan You kind of keep moving the goal posts here. Is the problem that he's involved in a lot of shows that are aimed at a younger audience or that you feel his roles are typecasted? Because those are two entirely different problems.

Lee has a HUGE range, which has nothing to do with the genre of shows he works on. He uses that range to play a variety of characters in a variety of titles, regardless of audience age range.

@TylerMirage The Issue for HienFan is that Tockar is Constantly Typecast as Shrill Comic Relief Characters in "Overly Kiddie Cartoons".

@EPA Deane @HeinFan So I guess we're just going to ignore the *numerous* non-"shrill comic relief characters in overly kiddie cartoon" roles that Tockar has, eh?

@TylerMirage Not in the Slightest.

@EPA Deane I can understand why that would be an issue, but I don't think he should be defined as actor just based off of the sillier/comedic roles. Perhaps it was the way the OP presented the comment that could have given off that vibe to begin with.

Lee is one talented voice actor he great as Yakkity Yak, MODOK, Snips, Ravage, Inky, Izumo, Keith Silver, Joshua Edwards, Strech-O-Mutt, Bling-Bling Boy, Terminus, Abyo, George of the jungle, Doktor Frogg, and Makuta

Happy Birthday Lee Tockar!

My top 10 favourite roles from him are:

1.) Ravage (Beast Wars)
2.) Makuta (Bionicle)
3.) Yakkity Yak (Yakkity Yak)
4.) Steven Magnet (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic)
5.) Snips (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic)
6.) Mr. Higsby (Megaman NT Warrior)
7.) Keith Silver/Mad Hatter (Project ARMS)
8.) Joshua Edwards (Gundam 00)
9.) Darth Maul (Lego Star Wars)
10.) MODOK (Iron Man: Armoured Adventures)

I'm honestly rather sad that we'll never get to hear his take on Freeza in Ocean's dub of Kai. I really was hoping it can put it on my list. That could have easily been my favourite role/performance of his.

Happy 47th Birthday Lee Tockar. Clearly roles of his I've known him well for include Yakkity Yak, George of the Jungle, his Silverwing Characters, Parmon Sean, and Ridley the Unknown Black Bird Butler from the 1998 Rudolph movie. Though Yakkity Yak and George of the Jungle have had pretty similar voices, it's not his real voice, judging how his Other Characters have sounded quite different.

Happy Birthday Lee Tockar.

He's one of those VA's that I unfortunately find get cast as the most obnoxious characters in the show he's in but he makes up for it with his killer range and being a pretty swell guy.

It's hard to pick a favourite role of his, It's probably either his Ravage, Makuta or MODOK. I cannot wait to see what he has in store as the next voice for Frieza in Ocean's DBZ Kai dub. No doubt it'll probably become my favorite role of his, if when it finally comes out.

I do like his voice work in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. I'm not particularly fond of Snips but both Steven Magnet and Gummy are hilarious.

I also liked his performances as Mr. Higsby, Izumo/Gyu-Oh, Keith Silver/Mad Hatter, Joshua Edwards, Takuo Shibuimaru, Gook, Vile, Darth Maul, Half-Life, Flux and Yakkity Yak.

Another year and still nothing on Ocean's dub of DBZ Kai, man the wait is going to kill us. This is the Half-Life 3 of Anime Dubs isn't it. I really want to hear how Lee does Frieza.

Anyways Happy Birthday Lee Tockar!

Happy birthday, Lee.

He has a great range and versatility to his voice. I also enjoyed many of his roles. But I'll always remember him for voicing the hilarious Bruce Lee parody that is Abyo.

What? Tockar will be doing Frieza?! My curiousity on Ocean's Kai dub went sky high. It will be interesting to see/hear how he will play him out.
said at 5:42 PM on Wed Jul 3 2013
@Fulgore2005 Well according to KaiserNeko from TFS Dragon Ball Z Abriged says he got to hear Lee Tockar's Frieza and it sounds like Mark Hamill's Joker voice!
said at 8:18 PM on Tue Oct 8 2013
@munsonx4 Not sure how I feel about this. I always thought Mark Hamill would be more of a Vegeta voice than a Freeza one.

Is that Ocean dub for Kai ever coming, though?
said at 5:39 PM on Sun Nov 24 2013
@Galactic_Cyrus Sorry for the late reply. Yes According to Brian Drummond it is already finished. We just have to wait for it to be aired.
As for Mark Hamill as Vegeta ehhh... that'd be a alright choice but it'd make him sound older than he really is in the DBZ Series. Maybe he could in the GT series but not in DBZ. I personally think the Mark Hamill Joker voice would be an excellent choice for Frieza. Mainly cause like the Joker, Frieza has a sadistic personality and is unpredictable in most cases. That and he has no problem killing anyone who opposes him. Laughs about killing everyone like it's a joke. He even kills his own men at times. All frieza needs is green hair and a purple suit and he's pretty much the Joker. He already has the lipstick and white face. But that's what I think.
said at 2:28 PM on Fri Dec 6 2013
@munsonx4 A younger Mark Hamill would have done a good Vegeta, I mean. Older Mark Hamill could work well for Freeza. He does have similarities to the Joker, but isn't quite as demented or creative in how he commits his heinous crimes. He's sick, but in a different way.
said at 3:01 PM on Mon Dec 9 2013
@Galactic_Cyrus I guess that could work. lol

@Galactic_Cyrus Lee Tockar has announced that he is excited to playing the new voice of Frieza (With out being sued in to oblivion ofcourse). He also did say it will be coming out soon! (Didn't say when though)

@munsonx4 I can only imagine, then, that Lee's gonna sound like OneyNG's take on Frieza/Freezer/Freezie Pop.

@Galactic_Cyrus A younger Hamill could also have fit Frieza well, I don't see why he couldn't have worked.
