4.) Tatsurion the Unchained/Bob (Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters)
5.) Blackheart (Marvel Ultimate Alliance)
6.) Brawl (Transformers: The Game)
7.) Darkseid (Justice League Heroes)
8.) Dr. Fate (Injustice 2)
9.) Gorilla Grodd (The Flash)
10.) Stone (Daredevil)

I really enjoyed his Dr. Fate in Injustice 2, I feel he has a nice mystical effect to his voice that a lot of the other VA's Fate has had seem to lack (IMO at least).

I also kind of like his voice for Upgrade in the Ben 10 reboot. Great voice, though I feel he should have voiced Four Arms instead and not Upgrade.

I always wonder a little why, despite people like TaraStrong or JAT being in Canadiian shows, or the Xiaolin Chronicles being all Canadian, we never get a dub with, say, Jennifer Hale, David Solobol, Eric Bauza, David Kaye, Maurice LaMarche, etc...

alongside "permanent" Vancouver actors like Tabitha St. Germain, Scott McNeil, Kirby Morrow, Paul Dobson, etc.


I may be overestimatiing the pay for dubbing over in Canada, but I always thought it fairly close to video game level. & there was no traveling involved, either.

@huzaifa_ahmed Actually, almost all those voice actors you mentioned have done voice-work alongside the Ocean Group.

David Sobolov was in Beast Wars, Jennifer Hale and Rino Romano were in Spider-Man Unlimited, Maurice LaMarche was in Sonic Underground, and David Kaye used to be a regular voice actor for the Ocean Group before he was transplanted to the L.A. area.

@Bauglir100 I was well aware of that. I think many of us grew up with Kaye's Canadian work, either on InuYasha or Transformers.

I just thought it would be nice to have a budget enough to call in Canadians who reside in the US to work on a Canadian dub. It would likely be the easiest way to have "A-listers" on a dub, anyhow, come to think of it.

@Bauglir100 Jennifer Hale and Rino Romano have never worked in Vancouver. Sure, Spider-Man Unlimited had Vancouver voice actors, but Jennifer and Rino recorded their lines in Los Angeles.

Happy Belated birthday David Sobolov. He has a great voice for villians. Shockwave from Transformers is definitely one his best roles. I'd say his best role is Drax the Destroyer.

I can't get enough of his really deep badass voice, it's really awesome and cool which is perfect for the amount of badasses he usually voices.

Depthcharge which was his breakout role in the late nineties still sticks out as my personal favourite role of his. Other than the fact he sounds like him attempting to do a Batman voice, Depthcharge as a character is a badass no-nonsense grimdark badass BUT DONE RIGHT! One of the few lone wolf who play by their own rules character in the Transformers franchise to actually be legit and not just be put on like what a kid or teen would think is cool.

I also love his performances as Shockwave, Brawl, Robocop, Tatsurion the Unchained, Drax the Destroyer, Blackheart, Doombots, Kingpin, Lobo, Darkseid and Gorilla Grodd. I can't wait for Grodd's return this season as well all future roles David does.
