Austin Tindle is one of those VA's I find that does rather well when he voices villains and anti-heroes.

My favourite character he's voiced is Accelerator but I vastly prefer Nobuhiko Okamoto in the role since I found Austin's earlier work rather stiff. His later work as the character he's really good as, he showed such a vast improvement in the 2nd seasons of both Index and Railgun.

Performance wise, Luis El Bridget in the awful Freezing franchise is probably his best performance IMO. He just nails this despicable kid perfectly. Regardless of my feelings towards the show, and writing. Austin really sunk his teeth into the role and he was just so deliciously wicked.

I also really like his performance as Vali Lucifer.

I haven't seen much else of his work that said but he has improved a lot as a VA.

Austin continues to impress me with roles to his comedic roles like Ayumu, Kazuma, and Yo to his more serious and cool roles like Karma, Accelerator, and Kaneki

To be honest, if Funimation ever acquired the rights to dub Sonic the Hedgehog, I think Austin would be a cool Sonic.
said at 8:51 AM on Tue Mar 1 2016
@Marusero I doubt it, cause they don't plan to get the rights to each series that isn't an anime, nor they attend to.

I think Okratron 5000 may seal the deal, but at this point it isn't gonna be that easy.
said at 7:18 PM on Tue Mar 1 2016
@SteelEthlan I understand what you're saying, and I hope you liked my idea of Austin voicing Sonic.

Also, I sent you some messages and you didn't respond to them. Please, go check your profile. My apologies.
said at 8:55 AM on Tue Apr 12 2016
@Marusero As much as it would be cool to have him voice sonic, but like i said it isn't gonna be that easy getting the license to dub.

Yes Okratron 5000 currently have the license to dub Freedom Planet 2, but it's only because they planned along side this company that Chris Sabat owns to support this quality which i can both appreciate and applaud.

Maybe it's just me and i'm well aware of that message you have send me i'll look this over there.

@SteelEthlan No worries, I understand what you're saying.

I could be wrong but I don't ever remember him being on a sentai dub...wish sentai would cast Austin in some of there anime ..when Austin character become all goku like in dangarompa it cracked me up..nice job :) although Austin were great in Tokyo ghoul ..I still prefer him in comedys ..
said at 10:11 PM on Tue Jul 12 2016
@Centro They have recently cast him. He got cast as Tusk in Cross Ange (Directed by Christopher Ayres), as well in a TBA show that's being Directed by Kyle Jones (If I had to guess, I'd say it's My Love Story!! where he'll play Sunakawa).

After watching all of Tokyo Ghoul I can proudly say that Austin has quickly earned the right to be one of my favorites. He really knows how to pull of shy and whimpy kids like Kaneki to psychopaths like Accelerator. Keep up the great work Austin.

Not gonna lie... I think this guy isn't that good of a voice actor. His Shu is laughably bad and every other role (aside from Alzack, who was never very interesting in the first place) had little to no effort put in them.
said at 6:12 AM on Wed Oct 14 2015
@CodeSOLMachine No effort? That's a little rude, don't you think?
said at 8:58 AM on Thu Oct 15 2015
@CodeSOLMachine Yeah he did one hell of a performance in tokyo ghoul.
said at 10:02 AM on Thu Oct 15 2015
@BioZero216 Maybe, but that's my opinion. For the longest time, this guy made me think that Funimation would let anyone voice act for them. His Shu and Vali Lucifer were proof enough.
said at 9:32 PM on Sun Feb 14 2016

In MY opinion, your opinion is pretty terrible, considering the many great performances he's given.

@Raebo In my opinion, I have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to his "great performances".
said at 8:40 AM on Mon Mar 21 2016
@may iris I'm sure he's a cool dude, so it's not that I don't like him. I just think he's a pretty terrible voice actor so far, even though everyone here is putting him on a pretty high pedestal.
said at 5:00 AM on Thu May 26 2016
@CodeSOLMachine will in my opinion is a great voice actor and he did a awesome job voicing accelerator.

said at 6:07 PM on Tue May 31 2016
@CodeSOLMachine I agree, but then I don't. I think he sounded awful as Kaneki (but really, the show itself was terrible so...) but with roles like Obi, he sounded like he put in effort and not all of his lines were delivered awkwardly. He's a mixed bag for me. I'm sure he'll get better.
said at 3:00 PM on Tue Jun 14 2016
@Rem-chi My biggest problem was his Shu. Even when people give the excuse "blame the director, not the actor", it's pretty bad when he's literally the only one giving a bad performance in the show, and that carries on from show to show.
said at 2:14 PM on Wed Jun 15 2016
@CodeSOLMachine Yeah, I heard a bit of his performance! He was definitely the stiffest actor there. I honestly don't know what to think at this point. His acting is just so strange...
said at 2:58 PM on Fri Sep 2 2016

He's come quite a ways since Shu from Guilty Crown. Anyone paying attention should be able to see that.
said at 11:36 PM on Sat Sep 24 2016
@Raebo "Anyone paying attention"

The only reason why I'm able to critique his stuff in the first place is because I pay attention. And I listened to his Ayumu recently, and I guess he wasn't bad. Really hard to mess up a comedic script though unless you just really don't try. Maybe his serious stuff is just miscast. Wouldn't be surprising.
said at 7:51 PM on Mon Sep 26 2016
@CodeSOLMachine well you suck as critique
said at 8:41 PM on Mon Sep 26 2016
@batcool Jeez, I give as best of a compliment as I can give to the guy's voice acting, and you make a comment like that? Maybe I should go back to his downsides again if I need to step up my game so much.
said at 4:05 PM on Tue Sep 27 2016

@NCZ OK i apologize for my behavior
said at 6:19 PM on Tue Nov 22 2016
@CodeSOLMachine That's a bit rude of you to say. Austin put in alot of time, effort and practice into his work and mostlikely way more effort than you. Constructivly Criticising someone is okay if you have a reasonable explanation on how they should improvement, but personally attacking someone isn't okay, and it makes you look bad as a person.
I think Austin is very talented, what I really like about his voice is how unique it sounds.

@IAMTHEVASTUNIVERSE I wouldn't say all that...
said at 6:13 PM on Wed Oct 30 2013

I agree he's a blend of Jason Liebrecht and Jerry Jewell. I give him some time to develop his skills as a voice actor.
said at 9:25 PM on Wed Oct 30 2013
@Lanik Austin has proven on several occasions that he is a very competent actor that can emote properly & deliver his lines in a convincing manner. Austin's performances as Shu, Ayumu & Accelerator are quite solid. He is one of most promising new VA talents of the last year right up there with Adam Gibbs, Amanda Celine Miller & Genevieve Simmons.
said at 1:54 PM on Sun Nov 10 2013
@akersaotome he also sounds like a much talented younger dave wittenberg
said at 1:00 AM on Mon Nov 11 2013

Don't know about a more talented Dave Wittenberg but Austin does have potential to be very good.
said at 8:50 AM on Sat Jan 10 2015
@Lanik I believe you're greatly over exaggerating here he's not even remotely bad as Accelerator. In the first season of A Certain Magical Index he showed solid potential as the character even with average direction from ADR Director Zach Bolton. Now with two more years of experience under his belt and more effective voice direction from a more competent ADR Director(Jerry Jewell)he's pretty damn remarkable in the role. 2014 was truly the year of Accelerator for Austin Tindle it may in time become his most defying performance in his voice over career.
