This man was perfect as Hans Gruber in Die Hard. It sucks that he's no longer with us since he seemed like such a nice, down-to-earth guy.

Happy Birthday and R.I.P., Alan Rickman! His Blue Caterpillar was a standout performance in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, and I also liked his portrayals as Severus Snape, Marvin, and King Philip.

My sister told me about his passing shortly after it happened.

Needless to say I was in shock. My sister was worse as she nearly burst into tears.

But still, I can't believe he's gone and not long after Bowie too. I loved him as Snape in the Harry Potter films as well as Hans Gruber in Die Hard. And no matter what he was in, he always gave a great performance.

He was also my mum's favourite actor. She and my dad keep telling me I need to see Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves because his performance as the Sheriff of Nottingham is amazing.

RIP Alan, you were such an amazing actor who stole every scene you were in.

Rest in Peace, Alan Rickman. You will be forever in my heart as Professor Severus Snape, the bravest man who ever lived.

How I loved his performances as Severus Snape, Hans Gruber, and Alexander Dane/Dr. Lazarus!!! The fact that he died days apart from David Bowie, and both of them were taken by cancer at 69 makes it even more depressing. RIP

This is just absolutely unfair.

I think what scares me more is that he died at the same age as David Bowie, also too from Cancer and only few days after from him.

This had me bummed out all day.
