Franchise: Yu-Gi-Oh!

Odion Ishstar AKA Rashid Ishtar in the original Japanese anime and manga is the adoptive brother of Marik and Ishizu Ishtar.

Odion became second-in-command of the Rare Hunters with Marik as leader. Even when mistreated or had his life threatened he remained loyal to Marik. During the Battle City tournament Odion pretended to be Marik while Marik himself entered the tournament under the guise of Namu. Odion is the only person capable of suppressing the dark half of Marik.

In the English dub version of the anime by 4Kids Entertainment Odion was voiced by J David Brimmer. During flashbacks as a teenager and young adult, Odion was voiced by Ted Lewis.

In a lesser known English dub by Odex Ltd Odion was voiced by Brian Zimmerman.

J. David Brimmer gave Odion the most depth and presence of the group: he managed to make him sound very intelligent, wise, but also calm & very subtle in tone.

Ted Lewis was a good fit for the younger Odion, though, I thought he fit the part well.

Brian Zimmerman sounds too gruff and deep in the part, as well as menacing: I can see what he's going for in the subtle delivery aspect, but I don't agree with the voice he went with, more or less.

J. David Brimmer had an absolutely fantastic voice and performance for Odion! Brian Zimmerman is actually good too (if a bit' over the top" evil-sounding at times) but David Brimmer's take is too awesome to not vote for here!

Ted Lewis was pretty fitting as the younger Odionfor sure! But I don't know if he would have been able to bring the same amount of depth to the role that David did as the older Odion however. Still, he has a great performance as well!

J. David Brimmer was excellent as Odion. He brought a lot of depth to the role, and had an epic voice.

Ted Lewis works as a younger version, but he's had better roles.

Brian Zimmerman actually sounds pretty cool, but at the same time, he makes Odion sound way too evil.

It's funny how Odex's version makes Odion sound like a cliched evil person (at least to me), something that 4Kids would've likely done.

Brimmer nails the role to a tee. Never have I heard so much depth for a character, especially given the company managing the dub at the time.

Lewis sounds a little hollow though...

J. David Brimmer's voice and performance as Odion is absolutely EPIC! He definitely gave Odion the most depth and presence. I think only up until recently this was my favourite role of his and definitely one of the major highlights from the 4Kids dub of Yu-Gi-Oh!

Ted Lewis is a good younger voice for Odion.

Brian Zimmerman sounds way too grimdark, it's a cool voice but it doesn't fit the character. It kind of reminds me of Michael Wincott's Scroop.

J. David Brimmer has got my vote for sure.

J. David Brimmer- He was great and gave the role so much depth and presence.

Ted Lewis- Pretty good younger voice for the character.

Brian Zimmerman- He sounds straight up evil like he's malicious, which isn't really this character.

What if Paul Dobson or Blu Mankuma voiced Odion?

J David Brimmer just gave this role so much weight and presence. Ted Lewis did a good young Odion too. Brian Zimmerman...he just sounds too creepy and evil sounding, almost like Vicious from "Cowboy Bebop" or Toguro from "Yu Yu Hakusho." And I also keep expecting to hear him start talking about the Gummi Bears.

J. David Brimmer for the older Odion (aka Rashid).
Ted Lewis for the younger Odion (aka Rashid).

Brian Zimmerman sounds too evil, though he's pretty good as well.

They all sound decent to me.
Although Zimmerman made him sound evil, which he really isn't. I still liked it, though.
