Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Nephilim with sound clips and images.
Franchise: Xenosaga

Nephilim is one of the various NPC protagonists in the Xenosaga series and is one of the various characters whom have been in the series since right from the start. Nephilim is a very calm and mysterious girl of unknown origin who Shion first saw her after she first saw the Zohar Emulator on the Woglinde. While at first it seemed like Shion was the only one who can see Nephilim until Shion and crew were at the Encephalon and they are able to see her too though Nephilim does most of her interaction with Shion and to an extent chaos. Nephilim is basically a mysterious NPC whose main existence is to inform the protagonists and like plenty of other aspects of the franchise her name is a biblical reference as well.

Today on the Xenosaga VC section we take a look at this mysterious little lady... NEPHILIM! Let us begin...

Riva Spier - Riva's voice for the role is not really bad per say but it is a tad bit too low (in which yes I am aware that even though Nephilim is a 10 year old girl she is far older than that but still). But to be fair Riva's performance was pretty good as it does suit Nephilim's "Mysterious Aide" persona pretty well and is an alright example of the voice work in the games.

Kim Mai Guest- Kim's voice sounded much more natural for the role as it does sound younger and cuter and still works with the role. I also liked on how Kim's performance for the role not only suited Nephilim's mysterious side but also made her sound a bit more warm and compassionate. So basically Kim's work as Naphilim is a fine example of her work and of the voice work in the games.

Carrie Savage- Carrie is no stranger to voicing cutesy little girls but this is still a pretty interesting change of pace for her as this is one of her more somber performances. Carrie's voice for the role is suitably cute as her voice and performance for the role does Nephilim's calm and mysterious nature well and is a fascinating example of Carrie's work and of the voice work in the dub of the show.

Overall I am going with Kim and Carrie the most with Riva as an okay second.

Riva doesn't fit at all, she's better as Kaldea Orchid
Kim is okay although still a bit old sounding but Carrie is perfect, she managed to have a fitting young voice with a touch of melancholy without sounding cloying at all so she gets my vote

Carrie sounds the best to me, but Kim was pretty good too. Anne was just awful-sounding.

 1 Shout Out!
Kim Mai Guest, no doubt. Sherman's is okay but a bit too mature, and Savage's is much too shrill for the character...
