Voice Compare » Xenosaga » MOMO
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of MOMO with sound clips and images.
MOMO is a very prominent secondary protagonist in the Xenosaga series whom appeared in the first game of the series. MOMO's name is actually the initials that mean "Multiple Observative Mimetic Organicus" is a artifical lifeform namely a Realian or to be more precise the prototype of the 100 Series Observation Realian whom is designed to look like a little girl. MOMO originally made her debut in the series in prison, namely captured by the U-Tic Organization in which she was rescued by Ziggurat 8 (in which who she affectionately referred to as "Ziggy"). MOMO is a sweet and friendly young lady whom generally gets along with the rest of the protagonists but she is especially close to Ziggy and Jr.
EDITOR'S OPINIONToday on the Xenosaga VC section we take a look at this little lady whom is also a prototype... M.O.M.O! In the first Xenosaga game M.O.M.O was voiced by Sherry Lynn. Sherry was easily quite a suitable casting choice as she is primarily known for doing cutesy little girl voices and she does them well in which its no different for M.O.M.O here. Sherry's performance for the role was also quite suiting as well as it does suit M.O.M.O's sweet and friendly nature as well. Basically in another words Sherry's overall voice work for M.O.M.O was a fine example of her work and a fine example of the voice work in the game series.
In the 2nd and 3rd Xenosaga games Christina "Silvia Blue" Puccelli gets to take over the role and she was a pretty good replacement. Granted Christina's work on the role did seem a little strange at first but I got over it pretty quickly and Christina's voice for the role was also suitably cute as well. Christina's performance was also pretty good as it does suit MOMO's persona pretty well, so in other words Christina's work as MOMO is not QUITE as good as Sherry's but it is a good take on the role nevertheless.
In the Xenosaga anime Brittney Karbowski gets to take over the role here. While Brittney does seem to have played the role a little different from her video game counterparts her take as MOMO is still a suitably cute take on the role nevertheless. Brittney does give a rather spirited and youthful performance as MOMO as the rather cheerful child that she is in which its a pretty good example of Brittney's work and a good example of the voice work in the dub of the show. Overall I am going with Sherry Lynn the most with Christina and Brittney at a rather close second.
