Franchise: Xenosaga

Joachim is one of the various secondary characters in the Xenosaga series who like the majority of the characters made his debut in the first game in the series. Joachim was a highly renowned scientist who worked for the Galaxy Federation who is the creator and father of MOMO and was Juli Mizrahi's ex-husband (in which the circumstances behind MOMO's creation was the reason why). Joachim was also very much a posthumous character in the series as he died in the Miltian Conflict that occurred years before Xenosaga 1's story took place and while the Galaxy Federation did once hold his scientific accomplishments in high regard plenty of the characters in the series deemed him a lunatic who caused the Miltian Conflict (among other horrible events). Like many things in the Xenosaga series Joachim's name is a reference to Judea-Christian history as his name and his actions in the first game are biblical references such as Saint Joachim.

Today on the Xenosaga VC section we take a look at MOMO's creator or shall I say Father... JOACHIM MIZRAHI! Let us begin...

William Frederick Knight- Williams voice for the role does suit how Joachim was depicted in his big scene in this game that's for sure. As Willaim's performance does suit on how at this part of the storyline Joachim was well to be blunt a bible-quoting lunatic as Williams' performance was suitably over-the-top. William's work as Joachim was a fine example of his work and of the voice work in the games.

Ed Cunningham- Ed's voice does work with this considerably saner depiction of Joachim. While Ed is definitely playing Joachim as a rather hard-mannered boss (though to be fair there are far worse authority figures in this series) Ed's performance does give Joachim a good sense of Authority. So in other words Ed's work as Joachim is a good example of his work and of the voice work in the games.

Overall I am going with a tie as both of these guys did well in their own way.

This one's a tie, but I think I'll go with Cunningham... Though I could've sworn Knight had another speaking role with Joachim somewhere...
