Voice Compare » Xenosaga » Helmer
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Helmer with sound clips and images.
Helmer is one of the various supporting characters from the Xenosaga series and like most of the characters has been in the series since right from the start. Helmer was once a Lt. General in the Galaxy Federation army and was the Commander of choas and Canaan during the Miltian Conflict but is nowadays Second Miltia's representative in the Galaxy Federation's Government. Helmer is a middle aged man whom is a calm kindly intellectual who does show a fatherly side as he normally works with Gaignun and Jr. (however he also knows Dr. Juli Mizrahi, Jin Uzuki and even Vector Industries CEO Wilhelm.) Helmer is a very knowledgeable man as he has given plenty of information to the heroes (and has even saved them with his political powers more than once), he is also the only character whom has had a different English VA in all of his appearances so far.

EDITOR'S OPINIONAlright folks today we have the biggest Xenosaga VC so far and it shall be for this reasonable authority figure... HELMER! Let us begin...
Beau Billingslea- Beau was quite a suitable choice for the role as his voice was a very natural fit for the role. Beau's performance suited Helmer's calm nature well and it does suit a reasonable authority figure like Helmer well. So in other words Beau's work as Helmer is a fine example of Beau's work and a great example of the voice work in the games.
Stuart K Robinson- Stuart's voice for the role is definitely not bad (even though it does sound a bit young compared to Beau's). Though Stuart's performance is fine though as it does suit his kind and fatherly nature but is also a calm professional when its time to get serious. So in other words Stuart's work on the role is definitely not bad and is a good example of the voice work in the games.
Keith Szarabajka- Keith's voice is not bad but it is a tad bit too high for the role though. However to be fair Keith's performance is just fine as it does suit Helmer's calm professional yet compassionate persona rather well. So its not quite one of Keith's better works but it is a good example of his work anyways and a good example of the voice work in the games.
James Faulkner- James' rather deep voice does work pretty well with the role here as his performance does work with Helmer's calm nature pretty well. While James' work as Helmer is pretty above average in general it is a good example of the voice work in the dub of the show.
Overall all of these guys did pretty well with the role but I will go with Beau the most here...
