Quicksilver A.K.A Pietro Maximoff, whether you seen him as a good guy or a bad buy he is the 3rd X-Men for the Voice Compare.

First off we have Paul "Original Leon S. Kennedy" Haddad in the early 90's X-men series. His voice does work for the role and his acting is satisfactory enough but its not one of the best performances in the show.

Next off is Richard Cox as X-Men Evolution's Quicksilver, and this was probably one of Cox's best performances. Quicksilver in XME was very much a young punk and Cox was very fitting for the role but to be fair this version of Pietro did have his fair share of dramatic moments in which Cox was satisfactory on.

And for our most recent Quicksilver is Mark Hildreth in Wolverine and the X-Men and I must say I was quite pleasantly surprised. I admit I haven't had a lot of access to this show and Quicksilver but from what I have seen I did substantially enjoy it.

All the Quicksilvers are good but as for my pick its a tie between Richard Cox and Mark Hildreth with Paul Haddad at a close second.

(Note: Scott Menville voiced Quicksilver in Super Hero Squad Show as Len Carlson voiced Quicksilver in Marvel Super Heroes. The former felt a little strange as I know this is suppose to be a "younger" version of Quicksilver but while not as good as Richard Cox's work as a younger Pietro Scott's work on the role is a decent fit for the SHS version of Quicksilver however its rather average at best. As for Len Carlson I was pleasantly surprised on how his youthful voice and performance was rather fitting for the role and is probably one of the better performances in that show. So in other words I would rank Len with Richard and Mark while I did like Paul a bit more than Scott.)

VC thoughts update

I really like Paul Haddad the most here. I feel he nails the anger and impulsiveness that Quicksilver should have and he has some solid delivery.

Len Carlson holds up surprisingly well. He nails the impulsiveness and has quite a good amount of energy in the role.

Richard Ian Cox's speedy delivery and energy is really great. His performance is really enjoyable and he does seem to be having fun.

Mark Hildreth is pretty solid in the role. I kinda wish he was less cool-headed, but he still does a solid job.

Scott Menville works pretty well for SHS Quicksilver.

The others also do good jobs.

I prefer RIC to Hildreth. Hildreth's not bad, but I think RIC is much more energetic in the role.

After hearing more of Mark Hildreth's performance on YouTube, I'm changing my vote to him.

Also, Len Carlson is objectively the worst. He's not even trying and literally just sounds like he's reading from a script.

I definitely like Quicksilver have a funny fast-talking talking type of voice so naturally my favourite voice here is Richard Ian Cox. Richard just adds so much personality. He can be hilarious, he can be a complete smart-ass, he can be menacing and the speed-talking is impressive as it reminds me of John Moschitta Jr.'s Blurr. Plus I recently watched Days of Future Past and Evan Peter's Quicksilver is in so many ways inspired by the Evolution version which was awesome in my books.

Sunil Malhotra would be my second, he doesn't talk as fast as Richard but he has the fast talking smart-ass type of attitude down nicely.

Mark Hildreth is overrated in the role, he sounds cool but I feel he sounds maybe a bit too chill sounding in the role. Still his performance was good and he got the attitude down, just not the speaking pattern.

Scott Menville sounds way too young sounding even for SHSS standards.

Len Carlson is actually really impressive, he sounds deeper than I'd imagine but I'm amazed he can do a really heroic youthful type of character. Usually he was always cast as the villain in 90% of everything he voiced in.

Paul Haddad sounds way too gruff for my liking.

Robert Tinkler if that is actually him is alright. He's the only here who uses an accent but at the same time he sounds too quite sounding.

Richard Ian Cox has my vote. I'd love for him to reprise and maybe do the accent....why because you didn't see that coming?

BONUS: I could see Johnny Yong Bosch or Jason Griffith being excellent as Quicksilver.

I voted for Paul Haddad. The only other voice I really liked was Mark Hildreth, but his voice sounds a little too sinister and I think QS should sound almost Admirabl. I like the X-men Evolution version of the character but he's not really QS just some teenager, and that fast talking thing his character does is such a cliche among characters with super speed powers, it annoys me.

Richard Ian Cox- Definitely the best IMO. His fast-talking and youthful tone works best for Quicksilver.

Mark Hildreth- WatXM has its fair share of good casting moments. But this isn't one of those. To be fair, I think Mark would be better cast as Iceman, with something similar to his Heero Yuy voice.
said at 2:20 PM on Wed Jul 30 2014
@Fulgore2005 In what way? QS is not a fast talking youth he's a grown man and a hero. He stays by his sister and takes up for her no matter what. I think should have a man's voice not a young teenaged one.

@atlien I never said that Quicksilver was meant to be a fast-talking youth. And yet, I actually do like the interpretation. At least, I like it anyway.

It's very close between Richard Ian Cox, Mark Hildreth, and Sunhil Malhotra, but I think Sunhil has the edge. The slight accent is a nice touch that suits the character, and while he's a fast talker, there isn't too much emphasis on it.

@pete Listening to Mark's take as Cyclops, I'm sure he can play a heroic version of Pietro.

1. Richard Ian Cox- He does really well with Quicksilver's silver tongue and makes him a smartass yet can go menacing but fits for his few 'heroic' moments. The fact he talks fast is really nicely done.

2. Scott Menville/Len Carson- Both of these actors are good but lack something. Both are good for the 'hero' Quicksilver but I have a hard time earing them as the Brotherhood member version. I wish they added the fast talking in some way.

3. Sunil does good with Quicksilver talking fast but my problem is that he sounds generic, nothing rememerable about his voice or his performance (aside from said fast talking)

4. Mark Hildreth- I don't see the love for him as Quicksilver. He sounds like he's alomst the same age as Magento which is...odd. He has the silver tongue but besides that it doesn't feel right for Quicksilver.

5. Paul Haddad- Sounds forced yet generic. Nothing mroe to say.

6. Robert Tinkler- Robert would have been a good choice for Quicksilver but what is with the goofy accent? It soudns werid to hear from Quicksilver. He didn't get enough dialog to show himself mroe but he didn't show any of the chracteristics of QS.

@TheVengeanceKnight I confused WatXM's Magneto with Evolution's version, looking back the age comment is really random. Still, I felt he was generic.

I prefer the hero version of him but none of them do it justice. Len was playing a typical which was ok for a show of that time and Paul sounds like Thor or some other Asgardian. For the villain version Sunhil then Mark, and Richard though he does grow into the hero version by the time the series ends as does the entire Brotherhood. Robert I don't know which version he is.

#1 Richard Ian Cox
It's very close to a three-way tie here, but with much more consideration, I think that first place has a winner. As usual, I completely agree with Pokejedservo. Despite being much more of a stereotypical carefree teenage male, Quicksilver had a very emotional side to him in Evolution and Richard did deliver on both. But the most important thing he had that the others didn't was with Quicksilver's fast-paced speech. Given the character's main special ability, it suits him very well. I would say that it's both one of the better voices in that show and also one of Richard's better performances overall.

#2 Scott Menville
Though my distaste of The Super Hero Squad Show usually keeps the character's portrayal in that series from standing out in a good way at all in their voice compares, Scott was a very fine choice for Quicksilver here! While it's certainly not distinctive from his Robin voice in the least nor does it retain that much of Quicksilver's virtues from the comics, Scott's voice brings out Quicksilver's personality and does at least stay true to most of the character's main qualities. I would say that it's one of the few voices from that show that would actually still work if The Super Hero Squad Show was part of the main canon or a more serious animated series. Most of all, I think that Scott's voice does actually fit Quicksilver as much as it does Robin.

#3 Mark Hildreth
The voice acting in Wolverine and the X-Men is arguably some of the best ever in a superhero cartoon series, and Mark's performance did help set the bar very high. Again, it definitely gives Quicksilver attitude and his emotional outbursts more life to them. Yes, he DOES sound at least a little too old (sometimes as old as Magneto), but it still fits Quicksilver's appearance in that show.

#4 Paul Haddad
Paul's voice was pretty good in and of itself, but there's more to say about the acting. His was very wooden in its performance and doesn't really give anything special to the character. Not bad, but could have been at least a little better.

Actually the idea of an Ocean/Vancouver VA working in California is not that strange. Ian James Cortlett has worked in California before (he even got to meet Frank Welker while doing some voice acting on Totally Spies). David Kaye still does work in California as well (such as Transformers Animated for example). And Saffron Henderson moved to California and was working there at 2005 (but went back to Canada at about later on 2006). One of the only permanent cases I know is Jason Gray Stanford however he pretty much retired from Voice acting ever since he started to play Lt. Randall Disher in Monk.

The unfortunate truth of the matter is that Canadian voice talent are for now not getting as much as they use to. So its only natural that some of them would try to get work in America, namely in California.
said at 10:54 PM on Mon Jan 9 2012
@Pokejedservo Or actually the truth is the have laid down roots longer than many of us realize. Like in Anime, anything as far back as the 80's. The majority of it was done by the Canadian dubbing groups or original animation as well. For example, Care Bears was dubbed using Canadian talent.
