 4 Shout Outs!
1. Christopher Britton - His voice is the most distinct and, well, sinister sounding, and the filter in his voice really adds to the unnatural, unsettling feel of the character. Whenever I think of Mr. Sinister, this is the voice that most comes to mind.

2. Keith Ferguson - He played the character in a more comical setting but he just nails the "Victorian gentleman turned deranged supervillain" angle of Sinister very well, and seamlessly shifts from playing the part straight to playing him as the butt of a Deadpool joke.

3. Steve Blum - His voice and tenor is recognizable, but he also does a good English accent and menacing rasp for the character, giving a solid performance in terms of line delivery too.

4. Clancy Brown - Clancy is lucky that the evilest voice he can pull off is a natural fit for Mr. Sinister or else this would come off as uninspired casting. His performance is at least suitably imposing. It's funny to note the disconnect between the poll results and the comments here, though - many people find Clancy's take just alright or don't like it at all, yet he's ahead in the poll.

5. Daniel Riordan - He seems to be doing the sort of take that Clancy Brown later perfected. He's just alright to me.

6. Christopher Corey Smith - The only one here that just doesn't work for me. The deepness of his voice is ridiculously forced and his performance has no intimidation to it whatsoever.

I'll go with Chris Britton. He sounds very menacing in the role and I like the little effects he has.

Keith Ferguson is also very good.

Christopher Corey Smith is solid, but a little too deep.

Love Steve Blum's accent and his delivery is good.

Daniel Riordan is good, but nothing amazing.

Clancy Brown does give a good performance, but I feel he's too recognizable. I think someone else should have played the role.

I think that David Kaye, Corey Burton, Paul Dobson and Tim Curry would be excellent voices for Mr. Sinister.

I think I'll switch my vote to Keith Ferguson. While I have nostalgia for Chris, there's something about Keith's voice that sounds so right for Sinister.

Honestly, I wish they'd have cast Keith for Mr. Sinister instead of Clancy for WATXM.

VC thoughts update

I really like Keith Ferguson the most. He sounds evil and decrepit, yet he's also pretty hilarious. Honestly, I really get a crack out of his performance.

Chris Britton is also pretty awesome. He sounds incredibly ruthless and menacing, but he also seems to be having fun in the role.

Steve Blum also fits perfectly. He has a really cool accent and a very neat decrepit sound to his voice.

Christopher Smith does sound pretty decrepit, but they deepened his voice a little bit too much. Still, his delivery is solid.

Daniel Riordan sounds good, not much else to say.

I'm sorry, but as much as I love Clancy Brown in roles like Raiden from the MK cartoon and Captain Black and Ratso in the Jackie Chan cartoon, his Mr. Sinister falls into the same trap his Lex Luthor and Captain Stacy fall into. He just doesn't do it for me.

Chris Briiton-The absolute best. Perectly evil to a T.

Chris Smith- Too deep and ultimately forgettable.

Daniel Riordan- A little too raspy at times, but overall threaening enough.

Clancy Brown- Just a Lex Luthor clone

Keith Ferguson- Not too bad, but a little generic.

Sreve Blum- The perfect evil brit with enough class.

Casting Call: Either Mark Hamill as it would be a perfect use of his Joker voice or possibly Jeffrey Combs for an added fear factor.

I... have to be honest... I don't like Keith Ferguson's Mr. Sinister that much. It certainly carries "Victorian gentleman". But it doesn't quite feel nor sound like the kind of villain that is such a total monster that even Nazi scientists feared him. It sounds more like the original take on Sinister as a projected supervillain of a sad, kinda pathetic guy. It's a cool voice and his accent's really good, I just... don't like it as Mister Sinister.

My favourite is actually Steve Blum. It is a fairly standard sort of voice for Steve, but his English accent adds to it, not to mention going for a hushed, whispery voice - soft-spoken, almost alluring - fits Mister Sinister as a whole FAR more. He is a man who, despite his gawdy, flamboyant appearance, is a man of subtlety, manipulation and machinations; he seems affable and engaging, but there is always this dangerous undertone. And Steve's whispery voice encapsulates that best for me.

Clancy Brown sounds imposing and carries a gravitas, but it is very, very standard Clancy, without the unique twist that Steve put on his performance with the accent.

Daniel Riordan and Chris Britton both sound pretty alright; not perfect, but they are solid. Out of these two, Britton is my preference; his slight accent helps also add a little more to the performance.

And... Christopher Corey Smith... yeeeaaah it rather sounds like his performance is drowned in vocal editing; something about it does not feel nor sound right.

My vote goes to Steve!

CASTING CALL; Darin de Paul. Just... Darin de Paul. His Ardyn Izunia, in every scene he was in, struck me as PERFECT for Mister Sinister; it is a distinctively deep, oily and charismatic performance with this air of affability, but undertone of menace, constantly throughout. Add an English accent to it, and I feel it'd be a near-perfect voice for Sinister; mixing every attribute of his character perfectly.

Richard Ridings, Travis Willingham (with a voice closer to his King Goron), and Patrick Seitz would all also be great Mister Sinisters; especially Patrick if he performed it similarly to his Dio.

I know I stated my favorite performance on here almost a year ago, but there is aomething about Keith Ferguson's performance that just sits right with me. He has a certain regality to his performance. The accent, along with the raspiness, enhances the performance a hundred fold. By far, my favorite Mr Sinister performance.

I'm pretty impressed with Daniel Riordan here. It sounds pretty solid. Givw him a bit more of an accent and he'd also be another great fit in the role.

Chris Britton is OK, nothing spectacular about the role. Clancy Brown just ends up sounding like Lex Luthor. It's pretty distracting. Steve Blum has similar problems but the accent he gave him puts him above Clancy in my book.

Was that really Christopher Corey Smith? Wow, he doesn't sound right at all. Sounds like they digitally processed his voice and it didn't come out right.

I'm going with Keith. Sinister is supposed to be from England, and he sounds like a Gentleman the most. The other guys aren't too bad with the exception of Christopher, but they all seem to forget that Sinister is from England and they don't give him an accent.

In my opinion I think either Tim Curry or Jason Issacs should take a shot at voicing Sinister, that and I could see Issacs working as a good Live Action Mr. Sinister.

I have practically no experience with this character, but I just have to go with Keith Ferguson. He's the most distinct of the bunch, he has a voice that's deep without sounding too forced, and it's very smooth with just a hint of a snarl to it. The others... well, Steve Blum and Clancy Brown aren't using anything far off from their default voices, Christopher Britton sounds a little plain, and Christopher Corey Smith doesn't sound quite "sinister" enough. Daniel Riordan is okay though.

Anyway, Keith sounds the most sinister and cold of the bunch without being flat and lifeless, and in my opinion it's the only voice that lives up to the character's name. Keith it is.

1. Clancy Brown- Clancy uses that fantastic deep and malevolent voice that fits Mr. sinister just perfectly. 8.5/10

2. Keith Ferguson- Keith has a very interesting voice for Mr. Sinister, but it sounds fantastic and does fit the Sinisters personality and he has some great dry humor moments in Deadpool the game. 7.5/10

3. Steve Blum- Really it doesn't sound that good compared to Clancy and Keith but Steve still has that fantastic evil voice he has used in the past and it does fit moderatley well for Sinister. 7/10

4. Daniel Riordan- There isn't much I can really say about this performance but I do like it, I just wish there was more to go off of than this, but it sounds raspy which works and deep which also works for sinister. 6.5/10

5. Chris Britton- To be honest, Chris doesn't leave that much of an impact on me. His acting is somewhat over the top or lacking at points, and I will be fair since this was his first talking incarnation, but it doesn't fit the way I feel sinister was portrayed. Not saying its a bad performance though. 6/10

6. Christopher Corey Smith- His voice is too deep, obviously vocal effected, and it just sounds too robotic to really fit Sinister to me. 3/10

Steve did a good job here. Keith has potential, but I'd like to here him in a more serious game or show as sinister because I feel the goofy nature of the game hindered him from being able to compete evenly with the others.

cross between 90's and wolverine would be nice.

Mr. Sinister, first of all yes needless to say he definitely lives up to the name.

In the early 90's X-Men he was voiced by Christopher "Soichiro Yagami" Britton. And I must say that Christopher Britton's voice and performance still does hold up rather well. While its pretty easy to tell that his voice was the least bit modified its still one of the better Mr. Sinister performances.

In the 2003 Video Game X2 Wolverine's Revenge he was voiced by Christopher Corey Smith. While I do like on how his Mr. Sinister is deeper and still does sound suitably evil but Sinister didn't exactly have a big role in that game. Christopher Corey Smith's handiwork as Sinister is still not bad though.

In X-Men Legends 2 he was voiced by Daniel "RiD Megatron" Riordan and its not bad, though while Sinister's role in this game was somewhat bigger and more memorable than in X2, Daniel's handiwork wasn't better than Christopher Corey Smith in X2.

In Wolverine and the X-Men he was voiced by Clancy Brown whom is a known natural in Villainous roles and this is no exception. Clancy Brown's Mr. Sinister voice has depth, genuinely sinister yet smooth as well.

Overall I think its a tie between Christopher Britton and Clancy Brown with Christopher Corey Smith and Daniel Riordan at a close second.
