Voice Compare » X-Men » James Hudson
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of James Hudson with sound clips and images.
James Hudson is one of the main characters of the Alpha Flight series which is a sub-series of the X-Men franchise who made his comic book debut in Uncanny X-Men #109 in February of 1978. James MacDonald Hudson was known as the leader of Alpha Flight, a powerful group of Mutants who once worked with the Canadian Government and has used a few code-names such as Weapon Alpha (not too mention on how he and his wife Heather have both been known as Vindicator and Guardian). James' powers are that he is strong, can fly, has a powerful force field and can fire energy blasts he is also a brilliant scientist and a skilled strategist. James has had a rather strained friendship with former Alpha Flight member Wolverine ever since Wolverine left Canada to join the X-Men in which he once fought Wolverine as he was ordered to capture him and send him back to Canada but over the years after that he and Wolverine are back on good terms again.

EDITOR'S OPINION
Today on the X-Men VC section we take a look at this known leader of Alpha Flight... JAMES HUDSON! Lets begin shall we?Barry Flatman- Well first of all I do like on how Barry's voice for the role does sound considerably different from his Henry Peter Gyrich voice. Anyways Barry's voice for the role was quite a natural fit as the leader of a Superhero squad as his performance does definitely suit on how despite his issues with Wolverine he is not a really bad guy. Barry's work on the role is very good and is a fine example of the voice work in the show.
Jim Ward- Jim's voice and performance for the role also felt very natural for the role. Jim does a fine job playing James as a calm reasonable authority figure as his voice and performance does have a suitably heroic feel to it. In other words Jim's overall work as James is a fine example of his work and of the voice work in the game.
Overall I am going with a tie as both of these guys did very well with the role here.

I gotta disagree with Pokejedservo about Barry Flatman's version of James sounding considerably different from his Gyrich.
I'm gonna go with Jim Ward for James, though Barry was good, too.
