EDITOR'S OPINIONToday on the X-Men VC section we have one of the various villains in the X-Men series whom is also one of the robotic manipulators of the Sentinels... BASTION! Believe it or not we shall actually start this one off with the 2002 Video game "X Men Next Dimension" in which Bastion was voiced by Don Morrow. I must say I am quite pleased with Don's voice and performance for the role here as he delivers a cold, calm voice for the role that was quite fitting. As for Don's performance it gives a good sense of being in control and quite sinister with a nice touch of creepiness. To make a long story short I found it to be one of the best performances in that game for sure.
Now for X Men Legends II Alastair Duncan takes over the role but I will say this now that he was kind of a mixed bag for this role. First of all one could notice on how Alastair tries to ham it up as Bastion here (while I am definitely not against the idea of hamming it up but while there are plenty of Marvel Comic Book villains where a hammy performance is quite preferable I am not sure if Bastion is one of them.) But to be fair in Alastair's defense I didn't really have a problem with his Alastair voice though oh sure its not perfect but it still does work in a way. While Alastair's performance as Bastion is not one of the worst attempts at a "Over-the-top" performance its not one of the best either, but to be fair it is one of those performances that are OK especially if you view them under their own merits. Overall lets just say I am clearly going with Don Morrow here as Bastion.
