Voice Compare » Trigun » Meryl Stryfe
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Meryl Stryfe with sound clips and images.
Meryl Stryfe is one of the main protagonists in the Trigun series whom made her debut in the first episode of the series. Meryl Stryfe is an agent of the Bernadelli Insurance Agency sent to evaluate the claims regarding the infamous "Humanoid Typhoon" Vash the Stampede. Meryl is very hot-headed and tries to take her job very seriously, she is also known as "Derringer Meryl" as she often carries many "Derringer"-styled Pistols hidden underneath her coat. When she originally meets Vash she deems him to be a nuisance but over the course of the series has grown to respect him and even have feelings for him (though in the anime she is more of a Tsundere while in the Manga her feelings for him are more romantic).

EDITOR'S OPINION
Today we have the first Trigun VC and this shall be for one of the two main ladies in the series... MERYL STRIFE! Let us begin...Dorothy Fahn- Dorothy was quite a natural in the role as her voice and performance suited the role very well. Dorothy's voice for the role had a cute but serious-minded and kind of temperamental feel as her performance does suit on how Meryl can go from trying to sound professional to even her softer more endearing moments as well. Dorothy's work as Meryl is a very fine example of his work and of the voice work in the show.
Luci Christian- Luci was a pretty good alternative choice for the role as her voice works pretty well with the role here. Luci's performance was good as it does suit Meryl's serious-minded persona pretty well and is a pretty good example of her work and of the voice work in the movie.
Overall while I will go with Dorothy both of these ladies did pretty well with the role here.

Both sound so much alike, but Dorothy originated the role and was the basis for Luci's portrayal, so it's only natural to go with her.

I liked both, but I'm gonna give this one to Dorothy Fahn. I thought her Meryl was better.
