EDITOR'S OPINION

Ron Gans voices the character in the original animated series. Unfortunately, I don't have much to say about his performance.

In the War for Cybertron video game, Eric Artell gets behind the mic. Eric's voice is quite a bit higher than Ron's and gives a decent performance.

Maurice LaMarche voices Drag Strip in the 2015 RID series. Personally, I feel like Maurice's has the most personality out of the three. His nasally, weaselly voice is a good fit for this rather slimy portrayal.

While all three are fine for their respective versions, I'm voting for Maurice on this one.

Gans and Artell are basically stuck in the middle with each other.

Gans's accent and deep voice is good but the acting's pretty forced and is just strange while Artell (while he has some great energy) sounds too high pitched.

Maurice LaMarche combines both elements (the gruff like voice and the energeticness) and does a outstanding job doing so.

I like Ron Gans' accent as well as his deep sounding voice, but the acting sounds REALLY forced.

Eric Artell has the opposite problem, I appreciate the energy he has in his performance, but the voice itself is way too high pitched and doesn't fit that character design at all.

Maurice LaMarche strikes the perfect balance between the two, with a deep, gruff voice and a nice, energetic performance. I love the weaselly, mafioso-esque sound to his take on the character, it's immensely entertaining.

Vote goes to Maurice, with Ron Gans second and Eric Artell third.

I would say Ron is the weakest, his voice feels awkward and sounds like his voice fluxes a few times.

I actually like Eric’s delivery on a few lines. He has a lot of energy.

But yeah, Maurice just has so much more personality and energy.

I think I'll go with Maurice, but Ron and Eric are also good.

I really like Ron Gans the most here. I feel he nailed the gloating personality of Drag Strip really nicely.

Maurice LaMarche's Grumpy voice with an accent works really well too. He also keeps the essence of the character really nicely.

Eric Artell is meh.
