EDITOR'S OPINION
Ah Cliffjumper, the often Bright Red little Autobot will be our next subject for the Voice Compare. In the original series he was voiced by VA Casey Kasem. G1 Cliffjumper is a bit of a fan-favorite and with his energetic ready for battle persona its not hard to see why. Sure he was one of the smallest cybertronians in the show but lets just say he did not care about that whatsoever. In an interesting contrast to a certain known role Casey Kasem has had in Scooby Doo Casey's handiwork as Cliffjumper was quite possibly one of his best performances in his career. In Transformers Energon he was voiced by Ocean Group VA Doron Bell Jr., and all I can say its decent. Doron might not have been the best choice for this role all things considered but he wasn't the worst but then again this was another case of a Transformers character with the same name as an older series but are different characters altogether. (Not the worst case but still...)
In Transformers Animated this Cliffjumper definitely looked more like his G1 counterpart and is not all that different personality-wise. TFA Cliffjumper was voiced by David Kaye and to be honest it actually kind of sounds like Casey Kasem's Cliffjumper (except that Kaye's Cliffjumper sounds a bit lower), its no TFA Grimlock but its not too shabby either.
Overall I will clearly go with Casey Kasem here and have David Kaye as a close second with Doron Bell as a slightly distant third.

The Rock was a cool celebrity cameo that actually worked. Still gotta give this one to Billy Brown.

Has anyone noticed that David Kaye's Cliffjumper sounds slightly different every time he appears in Animated? He sounded slightly more high pitched the first time he spoke (transwarped), then he sounded like a very deep voiced Casey Casem (see the clip above), and then sounded as if he were talking through clenched teeth (Decepticon air). It's still David Kaye, but I can't help but wonder why he sounded different in all three of his speaking parts.

Let's see, a 5 minute cameo vs. a full-episode appearance where I got a better grasp of who he is?
Billy Brown wins.

@TheVengeanceKnight Why does it have to be someone from TFP??

@OptimusSolo Because obviously no other Transformers series is worthy of consideration :P

@OptimusSolo Maybe he likes Cliffjumper's characterization in Prime. Or maybe he just likes Billy Brown's the most.

@OptimusSolo @CatsTuxedo And that's all I'm going to say on this matter.

@coolgeek176 I was commenting because his comment made it seem like the only two options were Billy Brown or The Rock and no one else was even being considered...

@OptimusSolo Well forgive me if my opinion doesn't sync with yours. -_-

I'm actually pleasantly surprised about The Rock's performance. They should really find a way to make him do Cliffjumper more often.

@MrParadox well, if he shows up in TF4, maybe Michael Bay will ask Dwayne to voice him, given Bay just directed him in Pain and Gain.

@Foxwolf I'm throwing my money at the screen to make that happen, but it's not working...

:( I'm sad to say that Nolan is the weakest. It's not bad but too light for Cliffjumper

Billy Brown is actually a pretty darn good replacement for Rock-jumper. I had first thought it was going to be Nolan North using a gruff voice (based on the previews I saw).

I'm definitely going to go with Dwayne on this one. With any luck he can reprise the role if TFP decides to do a flashback episode or something. *sigh* Hopefully...
Psst, Michael Bay! I think you should have Cliffjumper in "Transformers 4" and you should totally get Dwayne to voice him. ;)

Billy Brown was a pretty good replacement for Dwayne Johnson and Nolan North doen't sound too bad as Cliff, but I'm gonna stick with Dwayne.

@NCZ Updated ranking:
1. Casey Kasem
2. Nolan North
3. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
4. Billy Brown
5. Doron Bell Jr.
6. David Kaye
This compare is difficult because all these interpretations of Cliffjumper are so different (we've got two "antsy little guy" versions, two "energetic go-getters", and two "big, square-jawed heroic" types). That being said, I'd say that the original and Animated "short fuse" versions are the ones that most define Cliff for me.
