EDITOR'S OPINIONAlright folks today on the Transformers VC section we have Cerebros in two versions in which while the personalities are somewhat different but they do have similar roles with Fortress Maximus. (So in other words the characterization is not perfectly consistent here but compared to certain other Transformers characters well there are far FAR worse cases.) Anyways in the original Transformers series he was one of the newcomers in the rather short 4th season and was voiced by Jared Barclay. Jared's overall performance was a bit of a mixed bag as while his voice for the role wasn't bad for the role per say but it does sound rather similar to Highbrow (basically a somewhat less stuffy sounding voice). But to be fair Jared's performance wasn't too bad as it did fairly fit Cerebros' overly pacifistic nature. Not one of the most memorable performances in the 4th season let alone for the series in general but a decent example of the show's voice-work nevertheless.
In Transformers Robots in Disguise he was voiced by Steve Kramer and as you can already tell RID's version of Cerebros definitely sounds a lot more "Robotic" which does work. While its not one of the best performances of this character type I have heard but its not often to hear Steve Kramer in such a robotic role and its a somewhat interesting change of pace here. But while its probably not one of Steve's best performances its a good one nevertheless that does show a bit more range for him and is a considerably above average example of the show's voice-work. Overall I liked them both but I am going with Steve Kramer a bit more this time around.
