Transformers - Brainstorm

Alright folks here is the 56th Transformers Voice Compare and its been a while since the last time that one of the Headmasters got a VC so here we go with Brainstorm. (And unlike most of the other Transformers Voice Compares this is for only one version of the character so this is more consistent.)

In the 4th season of the original G1 series he is voiced by VA Michael Bell, now while Michael Bell is by all means a fine VA but he is not exactly showing his range here even in this series. (But to be fair in Michael Bell's defense any of his characters in the show whom sound like his Brainstorm voice are no longer in the show lets just say.) But still Brainstorm is suppose to be the "Intellectual" of the Autobots during the 4th season and Michael Bell does do a satisfactory enough job there. Michael Bell's Brainstorm is not the best example of the quality of Michael Bell's voice acting abilities but its not a bad example nevertheless.

In Takara's own anime series on Transformers Headmasters it had a rather revered dub from Omni Productions but Brainstorm's voice wasn't too bad. While Brainstorm's voice was kind of generic and it sounds very similar to a lot of the other voices on that show however I have heard of a lot worst voices in that dub so Brainstorm was passable there.

In the Japan-only PS2 game "Transformers Tataki" he was voiced by English-speaking Japanese-residing voice actor Peter Von Gomm, in which while alike the OP dub of Headmasters this game in general (let alone the voice acting) is fairly revered as well. However I actually found Peter's work as Brainstorm in this game to be one of the better performances in this game as it does suit on how much of an intellectual Brainstorm is so lets just say I find it to be one of Peter's better performances.

Overall I am going with Michael Bell and Peter Von Gomm in this with his voice in the OP dub of Transformers Headmasters at a decent but fairly distant second.
