Mint Adenade

Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Mint Adenade with sound clips and images.
Franchise: Tales

Mint Adenade is one of the main protagonists in the first game of the Tales series (and the first female playable character in the series). Mint is quite the traditional mage girl in a RPG as she only attacks with Rods and uses healing and indirect attack spells as over the course of the story her bond with hero Cress Albane gets stronger. (Though alike Cress, Mint is a descendant of one of the heroes whom sealed away the Demon King Dhaos ages ago.) Mint has a calm and reserved nature who is rather shy but has an innate desire to help others as much as possible.

Today on the Tales VC Section we take a look at the first lady of the series MINT ADENADE! Let us begin shall we?

Lynn Harris- Lynn's voice for the role is actually not that bad though her performance for the role is a little dry (I mean I know Mint is very calm and reserved but Lynn's performance only occasionally has any sort of energy in it). Basically this is not a really bad example of Lynn's work but I have heard better.

Karen Strassman- Karen's voice and performance for the role was great as they both suited Mint's gentle and caring persona very well (not too mention sounding very cute as well). Karen's work as Mint is a great example of her voice work and of the voice work in the English dub of the Anime.

Overall I am clearly going with Karen once again, as Lynn's work on the role is okay at best.

Karen Strassman as Lynn Harris just sounds bored silly.

Karen Strassman is the one to go with here, IMO. The compression REALLY doesn't help Lynn, on top of being kinda dull-sounding as Mint honestly. But to her credit she at least fits voice-wise.

I'm gonna go for Karen because with better quality of a performance she offers that contrasts Lynn's stale performance. I know the limitation to the GBA sound space, but it doesn't change the fact that Karen delivers it better as usual.

Neither are that ideal but I'll go with Lynn Harris even if she sounds a bit dull hear, I'm not too fond of Karen's take

The game is very old it's from 1999, but was ported in 2006 to GBA and PSP. I wonder what she recorded on the Game Boy or the PSP? I've noticed that in the older games, they don't seem to add much acting in the games.

Lynn's example needs to be in better quality. It's bothering me how one-sided the quality is on almost every Tale's comparison. Of course people are going to vote for the person they can HEAR better.

@Shiroppu It's a GBA game. Those cartridges only have so much space, so the sounds get compressed heavily. There's nothing we can do about it.
