All hail the Rat king, the ruler of all the rats in the New York City Sewers. (Admit it you've known people who had far worst jobs than he does of course assuming your not one of those people.)

In the old series he was voiced by VA Townsend "Original Mikey" Coleman and I must say its still definitely fitting for the Monarch of Rodents. So overall Townsend Coleman's handiwork for Rat King is still pretty good and overall fitting for his royal rat-ness here.

In the 2K3 series he was a bit of a one-episode wonder in which he was voiced by VA David Zen Mansley. As you can already tell the characterization for Rat King here is kind of different to his 80's animated counterpart. But still David's Rat King voice is still rather fit for a king, the Rat King that is.

Okay, okay I know bad joke is bad but still while I do like them both I am kind of going with Townsend Coleman a bit more.

Townsend is pretty entertaining in the role, giving an almost Eastwood-ish voice to the character. It's fun, there's not much else to say other than that.

David's raspy voice is very well done and his delivery is also very good, though a couple times I think he comes off a bit flat.

Jeffrey is wonderful in this role. Like I said before, it was a wonderful choice for the way he was portrayed in the show. He gives the character a boisterous yet creepy delivery on par with his performance as The Leader. He knows how to sound powerful/controlling or incredibly creepy when he needs to be.

1. Jeffrey Combs
2. Townsend Coleman
3. David Zen Mansley

I'd say for a future VA, Danny Mann or Steve Blum

I like all three of them. However, Townsend Coleman has the most fitting voice and delivery IMHO.

1. David Zen Mansley- Really creepy with interesting depth
2. Townsend Coleman- Appropriately ratty and whispery
3. Jeffrey Combs- Great acting but I dunno his voice seems too normal for that design.

Townsend Coleman is really great in the role. He could be both funny as well as menacing (like in the episode "Wrath of the Rat King").

Jeffrey Combs is also a whole lotta fun. I really like how bombastic and entertaining he is. His delivery reminds me a lot of Hans Conried. Kinda wish his Scarecrow was more like this.

David Zen Mansley is pretty menacing, but kinda unremarkable. He's not as fun as the previous two performers.

 3 Shout Outs!
1. Jeffrey Combs - I knew this version reminded me of the Scarecrow, but I didn't realize they shared a voice too! Just a perfect fit. Very scary and sinister.
2. Townsend Coleman - His voice is very distinctive and appropriately "ratty."
3. David Mansley - It's kind of generic sounding to me.

Having Combs play Rat King was a brilliant choice on the casting directors part. He gives the Rat King a very creepy personality and does the delivery just as well as he does with the Leader or Scarecrow. While I like Mansley, I'm changing my vote to Combs
