Voice Compare » Superman » Professor Emil Hamilton
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Professor Emil Hamilton with sound clips and images.
Professor Emil Hamilton is a supporting protagonist in the Superman series as his comic book debut was in Adventures of Superman #424 in January of 1987. Emil Hamilton is often known as a scientist whom once worked for S.T.A.R Labs and the US Government but he became Superman's "Technological Adviser" and has aided him in certain ways such as understanding what Kryptonite is and what to do against it. The Professor has also created machines such as the Phantom Zone projector, a force field belt and power armor for Superman (whenever Superman temporarily loses his powers due to Red Kryptonite) and more. While Professor Hamilton is generally known as Superman's ally he has occasionally had a history as one of his foes as well (though its usually strongly implied if not directly stated that its due to him going insane).

EDITOR'S OPINIONToday on the Superman VC section we take a look at the usually good Professor here... EMIL HAMILTON! Let us begin...
Victor Brandt- Victor's voice for the role was a pretty natural fit for the role as his performance suited how Emil is a calm and kindly scientist rather well. So in other words its a good example of Victor's work and of the voice work in the show.
Robert Foxworth- While I admit I am not quite a fan of the fact that Hamilton did a Face Heel Turn here so to speak (while the Cadmus Arc used a lot of Shades of Gray to be honest I didn't find Emil to be sympathetic at all). But to be fair I can't really fault Robert for this as he did pretty well for this show's take on the role (in which I actually didn't mean that his voice for the role is a bit higher than Victory's.) Robert's performance certainly suited that of a Mad Scientist whom strong believes he is one of the good guys and is a good example of the voice work in the show.
Overall both of these guys are good but I will go with Victor a bit more here.
