Franchise: Superman

Bibbo Bibbowski is a secondary protagonist in the Superman series whom made his comic book debut in Adventures of Superman #428 in May of 1987. Bibbo is a longshoreman who was originally a boxer in which when he first met Superman in Suicide Slum when Superman asked for information Bibbo thought he was a fake then punched him in which he hurt him and was convinced that this Superman is real and has respected him ever since. Bibbo is generally known as a well-meaning but not-so bright comic relief character but he has had his share of serious moments as well and he managed to get the money to buy the Ace of Clubs Bar and has helped those who live in Suicide Slum. Bibbo is primarily associated with Superman but has worked with Lobo before and was at one time Wild Cat's opponent in a Charity Boxing Match.

Today on the Superman VC section we take a look at this old pugilist from Suicide Slum... BIBBO BIBBOWSKI! Lets begin...

Brad Garrett- Brad's voice and performance was a pretty natural fit for the role as it suits a more classic portrayal of Bibbo as a big lovable oaf comic relief rather well and is a fine example of Brad's work.

Miguel Ferrer-  Miguel does a pretty good job trying to play a more serious depiction of Bibbo in this show. The only problem here is that Bibbo has a lot less screentime here than his 90's counterpart but Miguel does a pretty good job in playing Bibbo as a tough old guy pretty well and is a good example of his voice work.

Overall both of these guys are good but I will go with Brad a bit more here.

Brad Garrett was really funny and likeable as Bibbo. He fits this old salty sea dog perfectly.

Miguel Ferrer sounds so friggin badass but I don't think Bibbo should sound this badass. It works for this version in Young Justice but ultimately I think Brad Garrett fits the character from the comics far more.

I'm going with Brad on this one.

BONUS: I could see either David Kaye, Christopher Sabat, John DiMaggio, J. David Brimmer, Richard Epcar, Garry Chalk or any of the Dobson Brothers fitting Bibbo well.

Brad Garrett owned this role. Miguel Ferrer's okay, but he's better at voicing bad guys.

Miguel did a good job. I can hardly hear any trace of it in his voice. The circumstance when you can't trace it to him.
