Jeannie was alright, but too raspy.
Tracey had a good sensitivity.
Kathy was too deep...
Jocelyn was better.
Leslie sounded like a man but her take was worth it.
Azalea was too misunderstand able.
Jen was worth it like Leslie!!!
Nicole was too high but higher than Samantha.
Samantha was ear charming but in some games she was too high pitch (Mario Kart 8, etc.)

I think that Samantha Kelly probably has the best Peach voice. Even though she continued what Jen Taylor brought to the role, she does it very well while adding more to the role.

Jen Taylor was also a good voice for peach as well and set how Peach would sound at that point.

Nicole Mills was also a good voice for the few games she was in before Samantha Kelly took over. I never even noticed there was a change in voices. (In fact with Taylor, Mills, and Kelly, I never noticed the difference between them back then).

Jeannie Elias and Tracey Moore were both good Peach voices in the cartoons they were in.

The rest are alright, although I thought Leslie Swan was alright in the few games she was in. I also remember Asako Kozuki as Peach in the first two Mario Party games.

So does anyone know why Jen was replaced? Did she quit, studio wanted to go for someone cheaper, etc?

@Unknownsage13 So I could have sworn I made a previous comment, it was far too long & that's likely why it may have been removed. That being said, my first guess would be the latter.
said at 8:56 AM on Sat Jan 28 2017
@Unknownsage13 I believe Jen quit working with Nintendo to spend more time doing theater work and other acting projects.

Jeannie Elias - A fine voice, but her delivery sounds kind of whiny and awkward. Could be just this specific clip, though; it's been a little while since I've watched an episode.

Tracey Moore - Her voice is fairly similar, but sounds a bit more mature, and her acting seems overall more competent; definitely not bad, but not necessarily distinct either, especially for this kind of character.

Kathy Fitzgerald - Her voice is actually fairly fitting, but the way she whispers everything makes her sound kinda creepy. XD

Jocelyn Benford - Not much to say; pretty nondescript and dry.

Leslie Swan - Same as the last actress, but I think she improved a bit in Mario Kart 64 and [moreso] in Super Paper Mario (though unfortunately you don't really get to hear much voice acting in that game).

Asako Kozuki - You can, um... tell English isn't her first language. XD I commend her for the effort, though; she isn't the worst I've ever heard.

Jen Taylor - She started out pretty annoying, but she got better as she grew more comfortable with the role; and like with Toad, future actresses would end up impersonating her voice on Peach.

Nicole Mills - It's a pretty spot-on impression of Jen Taylor's voice; she doesn't really bring anything new to the table, so I don't really have anything else to say.

Samantha Kelly - A very cute and more polished version of Jen Taylor's voice; she also comes off as a lot more spunky, and seems to have an easier time emoting without screaming all the time. She takes the cake for me.

Samantha not only sounds cute, sweet, and innocent, but she also adds a touch of elegance to her performance not heard in the others. Jen Taylor was good too, and Nicole wasn't too bad either. Jeannie and Tracey worked pretty well for the cartoons, and sounded pretty close to each other. The other four voices were pretty terrible in different ways.

1- Jen Taylor
2- Samantha Kelly
3- Nicole Mills
4- Leslie Swan (for nostalgia)
5- Asako Kozuki (for nostalgia)
6 and lower - all the others.

Let's never forget , Jen Taylor MADE Princess Peach unique , all the others that came after her (Nicole and Samantha) just tried to emulate Jen's performance , in which Samantha succeded more than Nicole and gave Peach a consistency by sounding basically like Jen , with some minor differences , most noticebly in Mario Party 8 and Brawl.

@Starscreamsfan She could be relatively okay sometimes but she could get bad like in that clip and her screams are ugly

It makes me wonder why Leslie Swan gave up her role. She started off using a normal voice which i think was based on the US cartoon series, then in Mario Kart 64, Leslie starting making the voice a little higher-pitched. Then all of a sudden they Nintendo hired Jen, and the rest is history. Although Leslie did reprise her role as Peach to re-dub Mario 64 DS.
said at 6:12 PM on Sun Mar 1 2015
@Gatch - I remember reading she also voiced her in Super Paper Mario
said at 12:28 PM on Thu Jul 23 2015

Yes, Leslie Swan sounded more regal and intelligent. New peach sounds erm... let's just say not very bright. And yup apparently she did return to voice Peach i that game you suggested.
said at 12:30 PM on Thu Jul 23 2015

She works on all the games, even up to date, as the Localization Management. Every so often she might do the voice, maybe to mark as a anniversary.

@Gatch - Yeah I know about her role in Localization

Samantha is the BEST voice here since she doesn't sound too annoying and gives the right amount of sweetness.

Every1 else is...

Boring: Leslie, Jocelyn & the Unknown Voice Actor.

Annoying: Nicole, Jen & Asako.

Bland: Jennie & Tracey.
said at 7:20 AM on Sat Nov 1 2014

Yeah i looked on Google to see who Asako was apparently she has played Peach 4 times, and yes people agree with you everywhere online.

1. Mario Kart 64 (Japan Version)
2. Mario Party
3. Mario Party 2
4. GBA Mario Kart

(I think her voice was redubbed by Leslie Swan)
said at 9:23 AM on Sat Nov 1 2014
@Gatch Everyone online minus 1 agreed with me.

Yeah, it seems Asako got at least a vote on this compare.
said at 2:35 AM on Tue Jan 13 2015
@Ross123 Leslie is okay enough later on but on that clip she sounds so boooooring

I thought Unknown/Kathy sounds annoying rather than boring myself, my mind rotted from listening to her for a while
said at 2:43 AM on Tue Jan 13 2015
@Ross123 On that note Jeannie and Tracey are not bad but they're generic but Tracey's version of Peach got a special ire out of me for the episode that clip is playing from talk about airheaded and bias
said at 3:50 PM on Thu Jan 15 2015
@HienFan Ok I'll take your word that Leslie gets better later on as I mainly based my opinion on the clip that is on the compare. If you think I'm being unfair then I'll gladly check out her other work as Peach when I get a the chance. Cause maybe I'm missing something that others see.

At the time my comment was posted, Kathy as you know was unknown. And from you just mentioned about your mind rotting, that's exactly why I think she's boring.

As for Jeannie and Tracy, I didn't say they were bad. They were just bland but I suppose they're generic as well.
said at 8:21 AM on Fri Jan 16 2015
@Ross123 Well Jeannie and Tracey are better than over half of the people voicing Peach that's for sure cause you know... My ears hurt so squeaky but I have to question the directions in the game Kathy is in(Bowser is about the only character who sounds good there)
said at 1:34 PM on Sat Jan 17 2015
@HienFan Maybe it's because the graphics and visuals look like crap (that's what I'm judging from Peach's picture in that game) so they had to make everything else be consistent.
said at 11:37 PM on Sun Jan 18 2015
@Ross123 Well the cartoons doesn't look super great either but the voices are generally good
said at 11:24 AM on Tue Jan 20 2015
@HienFan Fair point but poor quality games usually tend to have bad voice acting.
said at 9:33 PM on Fri Feb 13 2015
@Ross123 Looking back, Jen as Peach didn't sound so bad at first, but starting with the game this sample is in...

I seen a lot of great games with some bad voice acting as well, not to this level but you know
said at 1:07 PM on Sun Feb 15 2015
@HienFan Yep, I get you since I've heard bad voice acting in great games too.

Jen used to be better as Peach. Hmmm, wonder why they decided to go in a different direction?
said at 7:43 PM on Sun Feb 15 2015
@Ross123 I get this feeling they went too crazy over pitch shifting her later on or they could pitch shift more later on and decided to do it
said at 4:25 AM on Tue Feb 17 2015
@HienFan Either way, it was still a bad idea of them making her change her voice later on.
said at 7:02 AM on Tue Feb 17 2015
@Ross123 Yeah... and I used to like Asako Kozuki when I was 14 but nowadays bleh... very poor acting and grammar
said at 7:59 AM on Sat Feb 21 2015
@Ross123 Playing Mario Party 9 again I notice Samantha is higher in this clip than she is nowdays, more Jen Taylor like before she went for a lower softer voice

@HienFan Either way, my vote stays with Samantha as just prefer her as Peach.

Samantha Kelly by far is the best voice for Peach. It reflects her personality perfectly. After her I would choose Nicole Mills, I loved how she voiced Peach in Super Mario Strikers. But I just can't lie Jen Taylor, seems kinda forced and unnatural.

 1 Shout Out!
1. Samantha Kelly - I loved how she did Peach in Mario Party 8 and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

2. Jen Taylor - I loved her voice in Mario Party 3 and games like Mario Golf and Mario Tennis I quite miss her when she left in 2005 but I love that she came back for Super Princess Peach and Mario Hoops 3-on-3, I even love her in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games/

3. Nicole Mills - I loved how sweet she made Peach sound but I really loved how she did Peach in New Super Mario Bros..

4. Leslie Swan - She sounds beautiful straightforward like she knows the most beautiful voice for Peach but Sam, Jen and Nicole gave her more feeling. Leslie can make Peach sound how she looks in the games.

5. Asako Kozuki - My favorite was Mario Party 1/2
she sounds totally different in Mario Kart 64 and Super Circuit.

6. Jeannie Elias - She sounds very sweet but only as Toadstool if she has red hair it wouldn't fit if she had blonde hair.

7. Tracey Moore - She fits how Peach would sound in a desert.

8. Jocelyn Benford - She sounds like an aged Peach I don't really like her Princess Toadstool Voice

9. Kathy Fitzgerald (Unknown Voice Actress) - She sounded too sweet it makes me cringe thinking they let her voice Princess Peach Toadstool.

 5 Shout Outs!
1. Samantha Kelly - Perfected the voice of Peach.
2. Nicole Mills - Was also good, but a bit too Minnie Mouse-esque.
3. Leslie Swan - Her take in SM64 was bland, but she did well in other games.
4. Jen Taylor - A decent attempt, but forced. She worked better as Daisy.
5. Jeannine Elias and Tracey Moore - They both sound identical. They're good fits for a more "normal" Princess Toadstool.
6. Jocelyn Benford - A lovely sounding voice, but it doesn't suit Peach.
7. Asako Kozuki - Rrrrgh. So ANNOYING!
8. UVA - She cannot act. Period.

Wow, this is a big comparison, but I'll do my best:

1. Samantha Kelly

This is probably the only high-pitched Peach voice that doesn't sound annoying. Samantha pretty much nails Peach's personality, but also has some fun with it too. So she deserves my vote.

2. Jeannie Elias

Her voice is my favorite of the cartoon series, as it sounds very cute and innocent. Her pitch isn't overly high like most of the recent voices are, which is a plus for me. Overall, a pleasure to listen to.

3. Jen Taylor

While Jen did sound like she inhaled helium to do the voice at times, I still liked the enthusiasm she provided. I kinda missed her when she left voicing for the Mario Franchise in 2006.

4. Tracey Moore

This voice is okay, but to me it's not quite as likable as the voice Jeannie provided. Still, it's suitable for how the character was like in the cartoons.

5. Leslie Swan

Her voice may not be high pitched, but that doesn't mean it sounds bad. But since Leslie Swan is not really a voice actress (she's actually a localization manager for Nintendo) she probably isn't properly cut for the job anyway.

6. Unknown

This voice is actually okay, but it's way too young for Peach. If Peach were a little girl, this might have been more suitable.

7. Nicole Mills

Sounds like Nicole was trying to imitate Jen Taylor's Peach voice, and partially failed at doing that. It's rather annoying for the most part.

8. Jocelyn Benford

Ugh...Jocelyn sounded like she was reading directly from a script, with a painfully wooden performance to go with it. The voice itself sounds a bit too old for Peach also.

Asako Kozuki shouldn't even be in this comparison as she's Japanese-born and English is clearly not her native language. It doesn't help that her attempt at voicing the character was painful to listen to...

Anyways, overall, there were a few good voices and a few...not so good voices. Samantha Kelly is the winner for me.
said at 3:13 PM on Thu Aug 9 2012
After M64 her voice became SO HIGH! Taylor's voice, for example sounds like a little girl.

Overall, I'm going with Lesile Swan
said at 11:40 PM on Sun Jul 22 2012
To be honest I dislike Peach ever since Mario Party 4. She seems a lot ditzier than her N64 days but let's get started

1 Leslie Swan-Other than Mario 64 I think she sounds really good
2 Tracey Moore
3 Jeannie Elias
4 Samantha Kelly-She got a few good lines but really now
5 Jen Taylor-Minnie Mouse... I don't like Minnie Mouse but...
6 Jocelyn Benford
7 Asako-I normally can't stand Japanese voices
8 Unkown
9 Nicole Mills- Oh looooord a cheap Jen Taylor
said at 6:10 PM on Tue May 29 2012
In Mario is Missing, dear lawd her face... my goodness. And the voice is actually kinda cute but sounds too young.

Oddly, it sounds roughly the same as all the other in-game voices excluding Mario 64, which is SO off.

The rest sound similar but the one in Mario Golf sounds like Cream the rabbit the most while the rest were just EAR RAPE! I mean, in Brawl it was still annoying but the least annoying of that group.

The cartoon voices sound fine and a lot like each other but I don't get that "Peach" vibe.

And Hotel Mario just sounded weird.

1. Sam - Just right
2. Leslie
3. Tracy - Nice TV voice.
4. Jeannie
5. Jen
6. Nicole - Sounds like a cheap imitation of Jen's
7. Asuko - Far too foreign
8. Jocelyn - Bland and forgettable
said at 1:43 AM on Sun Jan 15 2012
Samantha Kelly get Peach's voice down perfectly right. Nicole Mills tried but isn't quite as good, Jen Taylor went TOO overboard with the "Minnie Mouse" high pitched voice, Leslie Swan actually got better in other games but that clip from Super Mario 64 is really wooden and boring, Asako Kozuki is too foreign sounding, Jocelyn Benford sucked, and the Unknown Voice Actor sounds creepy. Jeannie Ellis and Tracey Moore do great but they weren't playing the canon version of the character.
said at 9:03 AM on Fri Jan 13 2012
