Star Fox - Slippy Toad
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Slippy Toad with sound clips and images.
Slippy Toad is the mechanical engineer of the mercenary team Star Fox. While Slippy may seem timid and passive, he is the most energetic and positive member of the team and can calm frayed nerves on the battlefield. He is also a member of the Cornerian Weapons Research and Development industry, and his upgrades to ROB and the Arwings have proven to be invaluable.
In Star Fox 64, he is voiced by Lyssa Browne. In Star Fox Adventures, he is voiced by Chris Seavor. In Star Fox Assault and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, he is voiced by Mike McAuliffe.

Ironically, what I loved and hated most about Slippy was his "Noooooooooo!" when Fox loses. Lyssa Browne, for the win!
ReplyLyssa Browne - darn memorable, second favorite, but not the character in completness...
Chris Seavor - the worst, once again. I thought he was horrible at Peppy and Slippy alike.
Mike McAuliffe - easily the best Slippy Toad to ever be born. The voice is just... the character.

Lyssa Browne of course. I don't care what anyone says.

I prefer the voice of Lyssa Browne, even thougt that makes Slippy sound too girlish. Chris Seavor sounds way to funny as Slippy.
I do like Mike McAuliffe's voice too.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Nintendo hiring quality VAs wasn't really that bad of an idea, and here's how I think it plays: While Lyssa Browne is on the natural side (seeing how Slippy probably has a female seiyuu voicing him in Japanese or something), when it comes to yelling and all that, get ready for utter annoyance. The same could be said for Chris, but then again, the voice acting in Adventures was all over-the-top. For this voice compare, the point for me goes to Mike, who actually seems to make the character a tad more likeable... But then again, was Slippy supposed to be made as a downside or is it just me?
ReplyI prefer the Assault voice. 64 and Adventures can promptly be thrown away.
And am I the only one who can hear Tom Kenny voicing Slippy Toad sometime?

@Sarge Ray Whenever I hear Slippy in Assault, I keep thinking of Nermal from Garfield... Or better yet, Jason Marsden. But your hearing's not bad... So if I said the same thing as you, then yeah, I could hear Tom.

Here's my comment about Slippy. FORGET THE OTHER VOICES! I PREFER THE VOICE OF SLIPPY FROM ASSAULT AND SSBB. This is because Slippy's voice from Star Fox Assault is really hilarious that I was cracking up! My young brother is really good at acting Slippy. Its so even hilarious that I fell backwards and laughed so hard!
MIKE MCAULIFFE'S VOICE IS SO HILARIOUS!
(STARTS LAUGHING SO HARD UNTIL SIDES HURT AND TEARS POUR FROM EYES)
