Andross was a brilliant scientist formeely employed by the Cornerian Army. He took his research too far, and the disastrous results branded him a criminal, resulting in his banishment to the nearby planet Venom. After building a base and declaring himself emperor, he swore he would rule the Lylat system. Andross often appears as a gigantic head with two floating hands, and his main offensive method is to suck matter in and then violently exhaling it in the form of either rubble or metal tiles. His weak points are his hands and his eyes.
In Star Fox 64, he is voiced by Rick May in the English version of the game. He is voiced by Duncan Botwood in the Rare-produced Star Fox Adventures.

I remember the first time I saw Andross take his brain form when I was a small child. "Only I have the brains to rule Lylat!" Although I laughed at his pun, I was, admittedly, a little frightened. XD

Duncan Bootwood was pathetic. It sounded like some kind of poorly stereotyped crazy Russian man. Rick May was far more menacing.

Obvioiusly Rick May - Duncan's is a joke. I always imagined Christopher Lee as a good Andross...

Well, I can't say that Duncan is horrible as Andross, but he just sounds hilarious.
I'd like to Vote for Rick May, he is the best with his deep, echoing voice. ''HAHAHA! You can never defeat me!''.

A shame Duncan sucks as Andross, I recently watched that cutscene on youtube and thought of how much better it would have been if the 64 voice actors were used, he has a pretty good design too.
My vote goes to Rick May, his voice sounds deep, demonic, sinister and it echoes too. It's pretty much everything you could ask for in an effective and menacing villain voice. Duncan just sounds like he had one too many beers that night.
Kudos to Rick May for doing such a good job in voicing so many characters!
