Voice Compare » Spider-Man » Tombstone
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Tombstone with sound clips and images.
EDITOR'S OPINION
It's time for a VC for another one of Spider Man's Rogues Gallery namely Tombstone. Sure when it comes to screen-time in adaptations he is no Venom or Green Goblin and the like but he does often give a menacing presence when he does appear. In the FOX Kids 90's Spider-Man Animated series while his backstory is fairly different he gets his more traditional role of an enforcer for hire. Voice actor Dorian Harewood voiced Tombstone and I must say he was a genuinely good fit, Dorian was able to do a low gruff voice and his performance certainly fitted Tombstone's vicious manipulative persona.
Tombstone hasn't been voiced by anyone for a while until recently in The Spectacular Spider-Man when he has a villainous but a bit more Lex Luthor-esque role. However Tombstone actually had 2 VAs in this show namely Keith David and Kevin Michael Richardson and to be honest yeah this is kind of like the Despero Voice Compare all over again. However unlike Despero they voiced Tombstone in the same show, Keith David voiced him in his first appearance in "Survival of the Fittest" while Kevin Michael Richardson for the rest of the series. And yeah Keith David was indeed just fine for the role for a low deep smooth though sinister tone though Kevin Michael Richardson is also a fine alternative as well. (And yes this is quite possibly the first time we find out how Kevin Michael Richardson can make a good stand-in for Keith David.)
Overall all 3 of them are great, Keith David was of course a grand fit though Kevin Michael Richardson and Dorian Harewood are very good as well.

Keith David.
Such a shame he only voiced Tomby in the first episode.
He is lightyears ahead of the other two.

Kevin Michael Richardson gets my vote; he had more to work with than Keith David.

A lot of the time, I tend to let how a character traditionally influence how I voted.
This, like with Toad, isn't one of those times. All three are good, but I'm giving this one to Keith David.

Richardson and Harewood were both good in my opinion, but Keith Davis wins simply by the aspect that he is KEITH DAVID! (That an Richardson was doing a David impersonation anyway).

Richardson and David are both great. The other guy is alright, but not as good.

Keith David all the way. He's a great voice actor and he's amazing with his villains. He's deep and menacing, and that to me is what a villain should sound like.

I think Keith David was the best, but Kevin Michael Richardson was an amazing replacement.

I go with Keith David, his amazing voice, no matter if villain or not, is blessing to hear, although he definetely has ;it; with villains. It was also nice to see Weisman and David working together once more.
But even though i missed Keith David after debut, Kevin filled his shoes with competence, giving character same kind of unemotional and cold, yet calculating and calm behavior and intellect, and i have nothing to complain about his follow-up.

KMR gets my vote. Keith David originated a great sound but KMR really developed the character's persona over the run of the show
