Jim Cummings, he should sound a little more thug-like and not quite as psychotic but I think he would make a stunning Shocker. Can someone tell me which episode(s) Shocker is in in the 1994 series? I can find it myself but if someone sees this and they're feeling generous that would be great.

@PsychicVoiceSpy The Alien Costume Part 2 and beginning of Part 3, The Insidious Six Parts 1 and 2, The Awakening, and Six Forgotten Warriors in that order. I know the episodes by heart after watching reruns and internet version so many times lol.

@PsychicVoiceSpy Oh and Six Forgotten Warriors is a 5 part story arc just an FYI.

Jim Cummings, Daran Norris, and Michael Beetie are the best. Jeff Bennett sounds like Johnny Bravo if you listen closely.

I actually really like Steven Blum as Shocker, he sounded tough and gruff but didn't go too far and still fit for how Shocker is just a thug.

I love Jim as an actor but he seems to be trying too hard with Shocker at times plus he sounds too evil, yes he is evil but Jim plays it too much.

And the most contraversal of the performances, Jeff Bennet's. Poeple complain how it's Montana in the costume and not shocker and that the accent doesn't fit while others thnk it brings more to the character but I agree with the first, it doesn't fit Shocker. Performance is okay but the accent and even the voice itself doesn't fit Shocker and it makes me wonder why he's in first place.

Daran Norris and Micheal Beattie stand out for me more the the others, both are good for thug voices but don't come off as generic. However, Daran has some odd devilvery on some lines and Micheal doesn't feel natural at times.

The others are okay, nothing really outstanding about them

I'm going with Bennett, since he makes Shcoker sound like the focused professional he's supposed to be.

I like Michael Beattie the most. I think Jeff Bennett might be better if he lost the Southern accent but i'm not sure.

@coolgeek176

He has the accent because they decided to make Montana Shocker.

@Anicomicgeek I know. I was saying that Jeff Bennett might do better if he played a version that is closer to the comics without the accent.

@coolgeek176 I like Steve Blum. I would put him second after Michael Beattie.

I like jim and michael here. Jeff performed well, but the issue for me at least is... well... he's Montana not the shocker, no matter how they dress him up.

As tomi said long before me, I like Jim Cummings the most. As Cummings has both that tough guy attitude & simultaneously raspy voice.

Jeff Bennett, however, comes in a most worthy & well-deserved second place. Intially, I despised that Texas accent that Bennett put on for the character, at first, I really hated it. But, over time, it really has started to grow on me quite a lot.

Michael Beattie for Shocker. As with Silver Sable, I didn't care for Sepctacular combining Montana with Shocker. I know some people say that Herman Schlutz is a generic thug and Montana in more interesting, but I honestly don't see how. How? How is Montana any less of a generic thug than Schlutz? Really, the only thing that could possibly make Montana more interesting than Schultz is the fact he has a Southern accent ans Schultz doesn't. Otherwise, I don't see it, nor do I buy it.

@Anicomicgeek

It wasn't really that one was more interesting than the other. It was more about the fact that both Schultz were, more or less, the same type of person, and would have been redundant.

Steven Blum was good as Shocker. Still, I think Michael Beattie was better, so I'm sticking with him.

Yes, Shocker does have a VA in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. Play the game or look it up, he's in Arcade's Murderworld and later Asgard when you have to save Heimdall.

While I like Jim Cummings as Shocker, the character just wasn't very interesting in that show. Really Shocker is kind of a lame character with not alot of back story or depth, fortunately Spectacular Spider-Man fixed that by having Montana of the Enforcers become The Shocker, giving him a much needed personality.

So Bennett wins

I like Cummings the best: him being both tough guy as well raspy at the same time sounds best to me.
Jeff Bennett comes worthy second: i wasnt too into that Texas accent at first, but now it really stars to grow on me.
